Our Team Tell us about your team: Our team is

called the Energy hawks. We are two sixth graders from the Clarence Middle School (CMS) in Buffalo, NY. We are making a wind turbine using the least amount of energy possible. The turbine is suppose to produce as much wind energy as possible. We have to make blades for the turbine, the post was already premade.

Design Brief Problem Statement (What is the problem that your teacher has given you to solve?):

Our teacher has presented us with a challenging problem, we have to create a solution to make wind energy. This means that we have to create the best solution as possible.

Design Statement (How are you going to solve this problem? Include the process you are going to take to solve the given problem) : To solve the problem, we are going to make a wind turbine that produces the most wind energy as possible. We are making the blades for the turbine, the post was already made.

Design Brief Constraints (What you can and cannot do/use.):

• can use cannot use -Something bigger than

3 inches

-Light weight -dowels

-materials -masking tape

-Cardboard -hot glue

-balsa wood

-corrugated plastic

Deliverables (What materials and items you need to solve this problem)

• We will be needing design plans - Cardboard, balsa wood , and corrugated plastic-The blades
