First Jumah will take place on 10th July 2020 (subject to government guidance) Jumah Salah will be at 1.30pm, 2.15pm & 3pm with prompt Salah at these times and khutbah 5 minutes earlier for each prayer.

Due to social distancing rules based on current government guidance our capacity for each jumah prayer will be considerably reduced.

Preparation for Salah Please note Khizra Mosque plans to open up on 4th July 2020 for congregational prayers (subject to government guidance). To attend Khizra Mosque please ensure you fulfill the

following criteria and answer is YES to all 8 points:

Not in group 1 or living with anyone in group 1 and you are not in group 2 as below**

No symptoms at present experi-enced by you or anyone living with you of Covid -19 such as continuous cough, fever with temperature of 37.8c or higher, a change or loss of smell or taste

Face mask or face covering must be worn

A prayer mat with you

A bag with you to place your footwear in

You have Wudu Over 13 years of age

OVER

13You or anyone living with have you not recently tested positive for Covid -19. If you test positive you must self isolate as per government guidance

Positive

Group 1- if you are in this category or live with anyone in this category**

• have had an organ transplant• are having chemotherapy or antibody treatment for cancer, including immunotherapy• are having an intense course of radiotherapy (radical radiotherapy) for lung cancer• are having targeted cancer treatments that can affect the immune system (such as protein kinase inhibitors or PARP inhibitors)• have blood or bone marrow cancer (such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma)• have had a bone marrow or stem cell transplant in the past 6 months, or are still taking immunosuppressant medicine• have been told by a doctor they have a severe lung condition (such as cystic fibrosis, severe asthma or severe COPD)• have a condition that means they have a very high risk of getting infections (such as SCID or sickle cell)• are taking medicine that makes them much more likely to get infections (such as high doses of steroids or immunosuppressant medicine)• have a serious heart condition and are pregnant

We would advise you NOT to attend for congregational prayers at khizra Mosque if you fall into any of the following 2 categories:-

As we reopen for congregational prayers at Khizra Mosque it is important that we take precautions to reduce the risk of Covid-19 infection to our congregation, staff, volunteers and other visitors and we try to keep everyone safe.

Please ensure you read the criteria below prior to entering.

Please ensure you follow the 7 instructions below:-

If your temperature is 37.8c or higher when checked at Khizra Mosque you will not be allowed to enter and should contact your GP or call 111

You must cooperate with our volunteers and follow their instructions

You must not hug or shake hands with others whilst at Khizra Mosque or in the car park

You must maintain social distancing as per lines marked inside the Mosque as per current government guidance

Please clean your hands with sanitizer on entering and leaving the mosque

Please leave immediately after offering your fard prayer

When leaving the Mosque please do not talk loudly outside or gather in groups in the car park or streets after prayers and please respect our neighbours

Group 2- If you are in this category below**

• are 70 years of age or older• have a lung condition that's not severe (such as asthma, COPD, emphysema or bronchitis)• have heart disease (such as heart failure)• have diabetes• have chronic kidney disease• have liver disease (such as hepatitis)• have a condition affecting the brain or nerves (such as Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis or cerebral palsy)• have a condition that means they have a high risk of getting infections• are taking medicine that can affect the immune system (such as low doses of steroids)• are very obese (a BMI of 40 or above)• are pregnant

Please note this message is for guidance on o�ering your prayers at Khizra Mosque safely by following government guidance on social distancing and must be adhered to.

Please ensure guidance is strictly followed by our visitors, please note breaching these guidelines may result in you putting yourself and others at risk and those in the community becoming ill due to spread of infection and possibly closure of the mosque.

Step 1- Please ensure you ful�l requirements for attending the mosque and have all the items needed for attending the mosque and follow all instructions as per our “preparation for Salah information”. Please view this in conjunction with our video on “O�ering Salah in congregation at Khizra Mosque during a pandemic”.

Step 2- Please be on time for Salah as per our timetable for jamaat. Please note the mosque entrance will open 15 minutes before Salah. Please note the doors to the mosque will be locked 3 minutes after the start of the prayer as per the timetable and late entry will not be allowed.

Step 3- Please do provide us with your contact details and sign up for contact by leaving details which will be saved securely as per GDPR guidance so we can contact you if there is any changes to the prayers or closure in the future.

Step 4- Please note the mosque lift will not be in use & the wudu and toilet areas will be closed.

Step 5- Please note chairs/benches/tasbih or prayer caps will NOT be provided due to risk of cross infection at the mosque. Please note no Quran or books will be accessible at the Mosque.

Step 6- Please note the car park maybe closed for jumah and at times of supplementary school and please ensure you park sensibly nearby and do not block o� anyone’s driveway.

Step 7- Entry point and exit point to the mosque may be di�erent at the mosque

Step 8- Once you enter the mosque you will be directed to remove your shoes and place them in a bag and take them with you upstairs into the prayer hall. Please keep your belongings with you at all times.

Step 9- Please do not place your shoes on the shoe racks.

Step 10- You will be directed by our volunteer to a prayer space marked for you where you must o�er your prayers

Step 11- Please lay your prayer mat on the �oor with the foot end of the prayer mat over the foot marked area on the �oor

Step 12- Please note the mosque will close 10 minutes after Salah.

Please note for jumah prayer we will have 4 entrances open with each leading to a separate area & �oor. Please note due to social distancing the capacity for each �oor at the mosque will be restricted and much lower compared to our normal capacity and extra people will not be allowed to enter once we reach capacity on each �oor for Salah and jumah.

Please note we will have at least 3 jumah prayers with timings available on our timetable.

Our supplementary school will open in a limited capacity once it is safe to open and until then online classes will contin-ue. With regards to all of our other activities these will again depend on government guidance.

Entry will be via �rst come and �rst served basis.
