Goal 1:

Continue to improve student academic achievement levels for all learners by supporting and enhancing literacy elements of instruction

Goal 2:

Continue to improve student academic achievement levels in Mathematics for all learners

Goal 3:

Review and revise the district’s implementation of a framework for instruction and intervention for all students based on the NJTSS Model

Goal 4:

Conduct an analysis for the installation of air conditioning in the district and present a proposal to the BOE.

GOAL 1: STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT ELA

Use PLCs to infuse literacy focus across content areas

• Kindergarten: Rapid identification and naming of upper and lower case letters with 85%

accuracy as measured by product assessment in 3 week intervals (6-7 letters per

interval).

• 2nd Grade: Differentiated Phonemic Awareness Interventions

• 3rd Grade: Demonstrate understanding of text by asking and answering questions,

making relevant connections, and referring explicitly to text to support responses.

• 4th /5th Grade ELA: Independently analyze text through compare/contrast skills

• 6-8 ELA & SS: Identification of central idea, citation of relevant text, and analysis of

evidence to draw conclusions (NONFICTION TEXT)

GOAL 2: STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT MATH

• Currently using PLCs to analyze data, strengthen instructional practices, and increase collaboration

• Used Evidence Statement Analysis from PARCC to identify common themes and content priorities in each grade level

• Will be offering a 3rd Year Title I Math Course as preparation for Algebra II and/or an alternative to Algebra II

• Reviewed LinkIt! Navigator Form A results with 3-8 Teachers, and will re-evaluate after Form B (Late February)

• Implemented ALEKS individualized adaptive program for KHS Title I math courses

GOAL 2:ALEKS USAGE IN HS TITLE I COURSES

• Using ALEKS for individualized skill remediation in Algebra I Enrichment and Geometry Enrichment Courses to help fill in gaps in student understanding prior to moving on to Algebra I/Geometry

• Algebra Enrichment students increased their average knowledge of skills in the course by 46%

GOAL 2: LINKIT!• LinkIt! was used in 2016-2017 in grades 4-11 to provide on-line benchmark assessments in

ELA and Math

• LinkIt! Is being used for benchmark administration in grades 3-11 this year

• LinkIt! Navigator report data from Benchmark A has been provided to our district and is being shared with teachers

• Using LinkIt! Benchmark data to drive instruction is one of the strategies being used to meet our ELA and Math Student Achievement Goals

GOAL 2: USING LINKIT! TO DRIVE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

• The Navigator Reports provide data on at-risk student groups broken down by teacher and class

• LinkIt! Teacher level dashboards allow educators to identify standards that students are struggling with, review the questions that assess those standards, and prioritize areas of weakness

• I&RS Pre-Referral Processo Multiple Trainings conducted with staff to utilize the HIBSTEVENTION Pre-Referral Process.

HIBSTERVENTION allows teachers to create plans of action, targeting academic, social/emotional, or behavioral issues. These issues are then tracked and rated by the teacher to collect adequate data to determine if I&RS is needed

o Site Features & Amenities (ex track, lights, Atlantic Street field

o Program Needs ( KHS secure vestibule)

o Building Systems (electrical & plumbing—lighting, electric panels, pipes, etc.)
