God keeps his promises! It has been an exciting time at Kerygma Today Ministries.
We have seen the hand of God continue to move in this ministry. The backpack
drive was a huge success and we continue to minister to the women that are incarcer-
ated at Fort Bend County jail. The seeds of faith have been planted in the hearts of
these women. They are encouraged through our ministry and ask that we continue to
lift them up in prayer daily.
Last month, one of the ladies that we ministered to during her seven month stay at the
jail was released. She had given her life to the Lord during one of our ministry meet-
ings. She expressed that upon her release from jail, she did not want to go back to her
former life-style of drugs and prostitution. Through much prayer and the work of the
Holy Spirit, she made a decision to leave Houston and go to live with her grand-
mother. Today, she is regularly attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and
church with her grandmother in Corpus Christi. We continue to minister the word of
God to her daily. She has made great progress and plans to get her GED! Kerygma
Today Ministries has also supported her with clothing, shoes, and personal items for
her new beginning. We rejoice in her return to the Lord and all that God is doing
and will do through her testimony.
In Luke 15: 3-7 (NIV), Jesus told this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred
sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country
and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it
on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and
says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way
there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over
ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. Amen!
Now this 24 year old woman is headed for God’s promises
for her life! When the Lord calls us to minister to the
needs of others, we can trust that God is at work in their
hearts to give them a new life in Christ.
For the Lord declares:
“So is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
Trust God at his word today. He keeps his promises!

Heart 2 Heart — Student Back-to-School Drive
In our Summer Newsletter, we told you about
our desire to meet the needs of mothers that are
incarcerated by providing their children with back
-to-school gear. We had a wonderful outpouring
of love through donations! We thank each and
every one of you for your contributions to this
worthy cause.
Through your generous donations and support,
Kerygma Today Ministries customized back-packs
for 28 students. Each student, a child of an
incarcerated mother, received school supplies
specific to their school-age group. The supplies
were lovingly tucked into their colorful backpack
with an inspirational book and presented to each
student at the celebration.
The Back-to-School Drive celebra-
tion was held at the T.W. Davis
Family YMCA, where donuts and
punch were served to the
caregivers and children.
The caregivers were delighted to
see the smiles on the children’s
faces. Some expressed their
appreciation with hugs, and others in writing. We
hope you will enjoy reading their heart-felt messages
of how Kerygma Today Ministries has made a
difference in their lives.
We see the successful Back-To-School drive as con-
firmation from God to continue this effort in the
future. We will be taking the first steps to making
this vision become a reality each year going forward.

Thank you! — Your prayers and encouragement matter! As we shared in our last newsletter, over the
course of the last few months, God has paved
the way for Kerygma Today Ministries to min-
ister to women and children in various capaci-
ties.
In these few short months since receiving
status as a non-profit organization, Kerygma
Today Ministries has served over 100 individu-
als. Throughout this year, we have been able
to witness every small step, from Bible Study
at the Fort Bend County Jail to providing back-
packs to the children of incarcerated mothers.
This has been a joy to see. We hope you will
continue to pray for KTM and serve with us as
we journey through the works God has planned
for Kerygma Today Ministries.
Keep an eye out for our Winter newsletter
where we will share more about our plans for
2015. For now, and on behalf of the women
and children served, we just want to say a big
thank you and praise God. He has been so
wonderfully faithful and we are seeing many
lives drawn closer to God through our efforts.
Here are a few of the prayers and thank you
cards received from the Caregivers and the
women in the Fort Bend County Jail.
All praises be to God!
Do not despise these small beginnings, for
the LORD rejoices to see the work begin

An opportunity to give
STOP Domestic Violence October is recognized
as “Domestic Violence
month” and focuses
national attention on
those involved in and
affected by domestic
violence. According to
the National Coalition
Against Domestic Vio-
lence, on average,
nearly 20 people per
minute are victims of
physical violence by an
intimate partner in the
United States. Annu-
ally, this equates to
more than 10 million
men and women – with
the majority being
women. Further, inti-
mate partner violence
accounts for 15% of all
violent crime. One of
KTM’s core values is
to provide a safe haven
for women and their
children that are
victims of abuse,
neglect or crisis.
The ministry has
already begun minis-
tering to those incar-
cerated - many who
have been subjected to
domestic violence prior
to their incarceration.
We ask for your
prayers throughout the
year for this ministry
outreach. Would you
also join us in prayer
that God will provide
direction and resources
regarding a housing
facility for Kerygma
Today Ministries
where women and their
children can receive
food, shelter,
protection and Biblical
counsel?
We appreciate your
support!
