Here I am looking at which of the common magazine conventions are used in music

Front cover
Masthead- this is the name of the magazine. Kerrang! often changes their masthead colour depending on the front cover content. They’ve made this one bright and bold due to the black and white colour scheme on the front cover.Main headline- this front cover is based
around Andy Black & to make this clear they have used his name as the main headline & used the same colour as the masthead to draw in attention.
Sub images- On this front cover all the sub images are grouped together, this therefore doesn’t take the attention away from the main image. However, these images are still an important part of the magazine.
