2017 ARTS PERFORMANCE EVENT
Vogel Alcove is excited to invite you to our annual Arts Performance Event, taking place on Thursday, May 11 at the Omni Dallas Hotel. Over the last 25 years, this special evening has become a can’t-miss occasion in our community, and our lineup of world-class, live entertainment has been a hallmark of the event. Past notable performers have included Idina Menzel, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow and Earth, Wind & Fire.
In this 26th year, we’re honored to welcome an artist with 12 platinum albums and two Grammy® awards to his name: Kenny Loggins. From his early career with Loggins & Messina, which produced the hit “Danny’s Song,” to his 1980s stint as the “king of the movie soundtrack” to his current success with the country trio Blue Sky Riders, Loggins has sustained a 40-year career with his indelible lyrics and engaging live performances.
Importance of Your SponsorshipSponsor support has been the driving force behind the Arts Performance Event since its inception, raising a significant percentage of Vogel Alcove’s operating budget every year. The generosity of our sponsors has been critical to supporting our mission and providing specialized services for homeless children and families. Since 1987, more than 15,000 children have received physical, intellectual, social and emotional support at Vogel Alcove.
The Arts Performance Event raises critical funds that allow us to maintain the level of care and support for our children. It is our organization’s flagship fundraiser and continues to be the premier avenue through which corporations, organizations and individuals give homeless children a chance to succeed. Last year, 301 children were safe, stable, loved and taught at Vogel Alcove, thanks to the sponsors of the 2016 Arts Performance Event. Your sponsorship supports increased programming and enhanced level of care, allowing Vogel Alcove to reach more children.
Sponsor BenefitsWhat better way to show your support of our mission than to celebrate a decades-long tradition and join us for a one-of-a-kind party! In addition to improving the lives of children affected by homelessness, sponsors of the Arts Performance Event enjoy valuable benefits.
Sponsor Reception and Seated Dinner
You and your guests’ evening at the Omni Dallas Hotel will begin with a cocktail reception to be held for the first time on the Pegasus Lawn surrounded by the majestic Dallas skyline. Enjoy the company of fellow Vogel Alcove supporters as you mingle and network before the main event. The opening of the doors to the Dallas ballroom will reveal a landscape of alluring decorations in vibrant colors and inviting designs. Once seated at your table, dinner will be served — a meal of elegantly-crafted cuisine fit for an occasion as grand as the Arts Performance Event.
Priority Seating
Sponsors get the best seats! Strictly determined by sponsorship level, your table’s position will provide an excellent view of this year’s performer, Kenny Loggins. Even better, sponsor table seating also includes easy access for transitioning to our dance floor. Get ready to cut “Footloose” with our legendary performer!

ABOUT OUR PERFORMERSKENNY LOGGINS
EMERALD CITY BAND
Kenny Loggins’ remarkable, four-decade-plus career has brought him from the top of the charts to the toast of the Grammys. He’s had smash hits on Hollywood’s favorite soundtracks, rocked worldwide stages, and found his way into children’s hearts while bringing his soulful, beautiful voice to platinum albums in a stunning variety of genres.
His gift for crafting deeply emotional music has been unparalleled, and it’s been a part of his life as long as he can remember. Though he has 12 platinum albums, a pair of Grammys, and hits on almost all the Billboard charts under his belt, Loggins is far from done. With more Blue Sky Riders tunes in the works, he’s still looking forward to what’s next.
“I’ve been lucky that I love what I do and I get to keep doing it,” says Loggins.
As a corporate and special events band, Emerald City burst onto the Dallas music scene in 1983 and has never looked back. This 13-piece supergroup electrifies audiences with a combination of high-energy dance songs from the past and today’s hits.
Emerald City Band has performed in such high-profile venues as the White House, Super Bowl XLV, and the weddings of Mark Cuban, Emmitt Smith and many other celebrities. The Dallas Morning News, D Magazine, The Knot Magazine, and AACWP have voted Emerald City as “Entertainers of the Year.” We look forward to enjoying this much-loved band that Mayor Mike Rawlings has called “The House Band of Dallas!”
