Farm practices for organic certificationKeep labels, receipts and if possible empty containers of all inputs: Seeds, Fertilizers, any Pesticides, Herbicides and any other input.

Document work and key events (input/output dates).

Track Sales by item by market by date (ex. Sumer Squash 240lb@$2 for CAFM on 7/4)

Follow the NOP and other good business practices.

If you are 100% organic, then you have less to do.

2009 Lessons Learned

No Better group of Peers to work with.

Stay on top of insects, they damage and spread diseases. Neem Oil & BT are a good defense but stopping them early is critical.

Picking Bush Green Beans Sucks

Less is More; less variety, more distribution

High Tunnels are hot, but mitigate water issues
