Autumn is here! School, colder mornings, windy days and surprise showers. No wonder everyone`s on edge! Here`s our marbelous` list of must haves, autumn essentials. Knitted scarfs and oversized sweaters are perfect for this breezing weather and are all around good for nor-mal day to day activities, fur is also in this year. Khaki color and miliatry style is also hot now! And the Parka will be every girl`s best friend and the star of this sea-son. Studs on boots and clothing are also trendy now. But don`t waste all pocket money on new things. Get creative and try out some DIY tutorials at home, you can find new ideas on our site as well as plenty more via Youtube. If you`re tempted to start thinking that this season has lost its feminine touch , grab some sexy an-kle boots, some brightly colored lipstick, and a clutch to match your attire and get ready to be the fabulous

Gourd of the month!This gourd can be found baked, boiled, steamed, roasted, fla-voring alcohols and oils, or carved into something freaky! You guessed it , its a Pumpkin! In North American they`re made into pies , italy used with cheeses to stuff Ravioli, and in Japan fried into Tempura. Also a good source of vitamin A and E, is also rich in fiber. The perfect food to kick off your fall season!

Squash and Corn Soup

. In a large saucepan, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Re-move to paper towels; drain , reserving 2 tablespoons of drippings.

.In the drippings, saute onion and celery until tender. Stir flour in until blended. Gradually stir in broth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until slightly thickened.

.Reduce heat to medium. Stir in the squash, corn, cream, parsley, salt, pepper and bacon. Cook and stir until heated through. Garnish with sour cream if desired.

. Yields 8 servings

.12 Bacon strips, diced

.1 medium onion, chopped

.1 celery rib, chopped

.2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour

.1 can of chicken broth (300ml chicken stock soup)

.6 cups mashed cooked squash

.2 cans of cream style corn

.2 cups of cream.

.1 minced fresh parsley

.1-1/2 teaspoons of salt

.1/2 teaspoon of pepper

. Sour cream (optional)
