Theme ideas• My trailer is about relationship conflict. Where one man is affected by a

couple and is drawn into murder. I will portray this in my Poster by showing the couple looking happy and then the man affected behind them looking angry. This relates to my trailer as it includes the main characters that are featured in my soap.

• Another idea may be the main bad character on his own holding a gun, and a phone. This holds enigmas for the audience as they are left guessing what these props have to do with the narrative.

Tag Line• This will make the reader to be drawn into the soaps story. Seeing the

poster will make the audience want to see the soap as the enigmas on the poster will leave them asking questions about what is happening.

• The sort of language devices I will use for example would be exclamation marks, and question marks. This will make the reader want to read on as I am questioning them about the story so they will want to find out if they are correct.

Images • Images I would like to use in my poster will be of the couple together

looking happy. They will be presented through the technical code of a eye level shot so the audience feel on the same level as the characters. Also I would like to use the man who is looking to break them apart. He will be looking at the couple through the non-verbal code of an angry facial expression, maybe holding a gun or something to symbolise his anger. I will have all the characters on a plain background so I can easily remove the background.

Synergy with social media• I will have ‘Facebook’ and ‘Twitter’ links at the bottom of the poster page.

These pages will contain more information about the story and include some stories for future episodes, much like other soap opera pages such as ‘Now That’s What I call Soap’ and ‘What's On TV’. This will make the audience want to go online so they can keep up to date with all the stories featured in the soap.

Synergy with my magazine • On my poster I will include logos to promote other forms of media. For

example I will have a Facebook, twitter, magazine logos at the top of the page. Also there will be the website for my magazine at the bottom of the page. This will ‘inform’ (Katz) the audience that our soap is on social media and across the e-media platform. This makes it easy for them to go to a social media website and find out more about the soaps.

Conclusion • The next thing I need to do is get the characters and take different pictures

of them and decide on what ones look the most effective to use on my poster. I also need to find props that I may use in my poster images, for example a gun and a phone. Both these props are seen throughout the trailer so the audience can recognise these props. These also give off certain enigmas that suggest what is going to happen to characters but are left wondering what charactersI will be using Photoshop to create my poster. This is because it is easy to edit photos and text. This will help me create a professional looking poster.
