PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST

The main thing is to keep the main thing the main

thing.

Page 16: KEEPING YOUR BALANCE Walking Uprightly. KEEPING YOUR BALANCE.

KEY – PROPER BALANCE

You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage—pleasantly, unapologetically, to say “no” to other things.

Page 17: KEEPING YOUR BALANCE Walking Uprightly. KEEPING YOUR BALANCE.

CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF YOUR LIFE.

The key is not to prioritize what’s on

your schedule, but to schedule your

priorities.

Page 18: KEEPING YOUR BALANCE Walking Uprightly. KEEPING YOUR BALANCE.

URGENT VS. IMPORTANT

Too much time on what is urgent

And Not enough time on what is

important.

Page 19: KEEPING YOUR BALANCE Walking Uprightly. KEEPING YOUR BALANCE.

KEEP THE MAIN THING THE MAIN THING

And the way you do that is by having a bigger “yes”

burning inside. The enemy of the “best” is often the

“good.”
