Para el profesor Spase Shumka, Vjosa es un museo vivo de la naturaleza en el que crecen 18 especies de peces, 20 de moluscos, nutrias autctonas, aves y plantas endmicas, que necesitan agua corriente y que con la construccin de los embalses desapareceran.
