kea OFFers tHree kINds OF deGrees:

aCademy PrOFessIONaL deGree PrOGrammes–An Academy Professional degree programme is a higher education programme that takes two years, and consists of four semesters, providing 120 ECTS points. However, both the Danish and English versions of the Computer Science programme have a duration of two and a half years and constitute 150 ECTS points.

baCHeLOr deGree PrOGrammes–A full Bachelor degree programme takes three and a half years. The programme inclu-des seven semesters and provides 210 ECTS points.

tOP-uP baCHeLOr deGree PrOGrammes –You can take a top-up degree after you have completed your Academy Professional degree and thereby earn a bachelor degree.

A top-up programme takes one and a half years and includes three semesters, consti-tuting 90 ECTS points.

aCademIC areas–KEA’s programmes are divided into four main academic areas: TeCH, BUILD, DeSIGN and DIGITaL. Moreover, KEA offers a wide range of programmes in English. We have students from more than 60 different nations and we are working on increasing the number of foreign students even further.

tuItION Fees–Higher education in Denmark is free for students from the EU/EEA and for students participating in an exchange programme. For other students annual tuition ranges from 10,000 to 16,000 Euro. A number of scholars-hips and grants are available from the insti-tutions and from public funded schemes. For exact info see the factsheet for the programme of interest at kea.dk/en

This chart only shows how KEA’s programmes relate to the educational system. KEA’s programmes do not, however, guarantee master level admission.

aCCeLeratOr –The Accelerator is an intensive course that takes a number of weeks and focuses on helping stu-dents develop their ideas into business concepts.

eNtrePreNeur IN tHe makING–At KEA we encourage our students to become entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is an impor-tant part of all study programmes. The main goal is not to learn about entrepreneurship, but to do entrepreneurship and convert ideas into practice.

At KEA, we make an effort to create the best job opportunities for our students after they graduate. Most of the programmes therefore have internship periods where the students test and try their skills in a relevant workplace. KEA works deliberately on strengthening the relationship between the business community and the students.

buddy PrOGramme–Get a KEA student (a Buddy) to help you settle in and get a safe introduc-tion to Copenhagen, KEA and your study programme. We match current students with new students to make introductions safe, comfortable and smooth. A Buddy can assist with practical advice on living and study-ing in Denmark.

They can help you with buying things, visiting a doctor, registe-ring with a Citizen Service Centre, applying for library cards, travel, etc. They may also help you with social aspects and how to get around. A Buddy can also pick up his or her new fellow student from the airport or the station upon arrival.

Among other things, it gives you the opportunity to experience the connection between theory and practice while you study. You can share knowledge, and test your skills and values in a business environment that is relevant to your programme. All of this contributes to making you an attractive employee the day you graduate.
