1.0 My experience with the BMM

- In 2002 it was static HTML and not very interactive

- Everybody on the course was afraid to self-organise. It was very cliquey.

- Angry phone call from a business owner for not fact-checking

2.0 Benefits

■ Description, History, contact details.

5.0 The Style Guide

■ For many writers to write in a clear and unified way

■ A resource, not a rule book or a design guide.

■ Include:

- What minimum info to include

- How headings, lists, numbers, quotes are formatted (Capitalisation, 6 or ‘six’ etc.)

- Keep it short!

6.0 Quality Assurance

■ Check the date of the information you are using.

■ Compare more than one sources of information when

listing organisations in your category, so it is complete

■ Confirm details of organisations with them,

for EVERY entry
