Our glorious navy has traditionally placed its aith inthe reputation and strength o its mighty battleshipsand dreadnoughts. Its other operational branches,though vital, are sometimes seen as lacking theglamour and prestige o the big-gun battle squadrons.

Te submariners o the Independent Flotillasespecially have had to work hard to build up arespectable fighting reputation their arm o theSenior Service has traditionally been known as ahaven or unconventional mavericks, ladies andgentlemen who dont fit into the rigid hierarchy othe Fleet.

Tankully, however, the World War has orced evenour most hidebound admirals to see the submarinearm in a new light. Te Independent Flotillas haveinflicted earul losses on enemy merchant and navalshipping, and as a result Lord-Admiral Spencerhas poured resources into the expansion o hisunderwater strike assets.

Deadly new boats are coming off the slips to augmentthe veteran Vanguards in the fight against the

Imperial Bond. Te most powerul is the massiveVengeance Class, a true underwater battleship. Tismighty craf cuts through the seas at great speed likea massive sword blade, and can devastate enemywarships o every size with either massed torpedoesor lethal, hull-shredding saw-blades.

Supporting this new terror are squadrons o swifValiant Classattack subs our piranhas to the sharkthat is the Vengeance. Deployed in hunting packs,Valiantcaptains and crews, many o them honed by

service on destroyers, are ast becoming experts inco-ordinated strikes on enemy shipping. A squadrono Valiants can devastate an enemy convoy withouttheir desperate oes knowing what hit them.

O course, this vicious underwater striking powerrequires a degree o fine control to work at besteffect, which is where the new Dominion ClassSupport Cruisercomes into its own. In addition toits own ormidable torpedo and gun armament, theDominionhouses a revolutionary new underwaterdetection and targeting system in an armoured dome

at its stern.

Tis device utilises underwater radiograph signals tofind and fixtargets or other torpedo-armed vessels.Once an enemy ship is soundedby a Dominion, it isalmost certainly doomed to a watery grave as waveso torpedoes zero in upon it with unerring accuracy!

Te greatest proponent o this new orm o wararein the Britannian fleet is the notorious CommodoreSir Rodney Carlton. A true privateer as well as a

daring and charismatic leader, Carltonand his silenthunters have reaped a grim harvest o Prussian

vessels in the north and western Atlantic. Hes acontroversial figure, but I hope one day to serve withhim nonetheless sailing with Sir Rodneycan prove

very ...profitable.

Ahem ...but aside rom that, such has been the trailo destruction he has wrought that the Prussian navalcommand in Greenland has placed an enormousbounty on Sir Rodneyshead, guaranteed by Emperor

Fredericksown treasury. Needless to say, no Prussiancommander has managed to collect this prize though many have paid the heaviest price or daringto hunt the hunter!

You will also note that our engineers have deliveredon a new variant o the Vanguard Class Submarine.Te Mk. II should please KoB commanders.

In addition, any Kingdom of Britannia fleet withSir Rodney Carltonas the Fleet Commodore has theollowing rules permanently in effect:

Privateer Commodore Carltons history is achequered one to say the least, but ew can doubthis loyalty to Queen and Country... especially whenthere is a bounty involved...

At the beginning o the game, prior to Deployment,the KoBplayer must secretly nominate one Large orMassive model in the enemy fleet to be the target orCarltons bounty and make a note to be reerred tolater i required. Should Commodore Carltons vesselcause the target to become Lost (either by Prizing,

Dereliction or Destroying the vessel), the KoB playermust show the enemy player his bounty notation.

Afer eliminating the target, the Kingdom oBritannia player gains an additional +250VPs/5CPs.Tis bonus is in addition to any other bonuses to VP/CPthat might apply.

Important Note: I Carlton is Lost or any reasonduring the remainder o the game, this bonus is lost.

Master of the Silent Hunters - Sir Rodney Carltonmakes masterul use o re-fitted submarines as strikecraf, using sublime tactical cunning matched withraw aggression to wreak havoc amongst his oes.

All Kingdom of Britannia Submarines inCommodore Carltons fleet gain the Sturginium BoostMARor no additional cost.

In addition, all Kingdom of Britannia Submarinesin Commodore Carltons fleet may purchase the

Pack HunterMARor +5ptsper model. Should thisupgrade be taken or a squadron, all models in thesquadron MUSTpurchase the upgrade.
