This is a great part of the country for those that want a little bit of nature to go with their wine, as one of the many tours that are available there can be done on horseback.

There is in fact a fantastic equestrian center located in the Chalk Hill area, so it really shouldn’t come as a surprise that getting around on 4-legs would be a popular way to take in the sites and flavors of the region.

Other attractions worth visiting when taking some time away from wine tasting include an African wildlife park, as well as the olive tree orchards that are home to the booming olive oil industry in Chalk Hill.

There are certainly regions that are home to a lot more California wineries than you will find in Chalk Hill, but it is the unique flavors that are found there that keeping people coming back time and again.
