Kazakhstan - Rule of law

Kazakhstan confirms its commitment to the principles of the UN and international law, which are indispensable foundations for building a more peaceful, prosperous and just world.

The rule of law at the national and international levels is one of the most important principles of modern international relations.

Kazakhstan upholds the view that the rule of law principle shall be the basis for the activity of all states, both in domestic and foreign policy, and its violation cannot be justified by any intentions and goals.

Kazakhstan welcomes the important role assigned to accomplishing this principle within the UN, and supports the annual unanimous adoption by the UN member states of the Resolution on the Rule of Law at the National and International Levels within the framework of the UN General Assembly.

Today, Kazakhstan has ratified most of the universal conventions and protocols on the key international issues and continues to work on the accession to other international treaties and documents of the UN, as well as on bringing them into line with the national legislation.
