Career Kathy Kennedy specialises in insuring superyachts, yacht fleets, builder’s risk and new-builds as Executive Vice President of Moore Stephens Brokers Limited (“MSBL”), reporting directly to Clive Dixon, Managing Partner of Moore Stephens Isle of Man (“MSIOM”). Based in the USA, Kathy travels worldwide working directly with owners, owner’s representatives, management companies, fleet managers and naval architects as well as refit and new-build yards. She is passionate about yachting and the global yachting industry, well-known for her broad experience addressing the meticulous requirements of superyacht owners. Moore Stephens is recognised globally in the marine industry in general and MSIOM as a leader in superyachts and private/corporate aviation. In direct response to the specific desire of our clients for clear and unbiased advice on their insurance needs, Kathy spearheaded the start-up of MSBL to be a source of bespoke insurance products tailored specifically for superyachts and their owners. MSBL is now recognised as a specialised team of seasoned insurance industry professionals offering truly bespoke solutions to a steadily expanding client base. Kathy joined Moore Stephens after assisting the Ferretti Group on their North American market development and Derecktor Shipyards as Director of Marketing during the M/Y CAKEWALK build. She now works with some of the largest yachts and fleets in the industry as the 24/7 client interface for all their insurance requirements, investing time and effort in first understanding their specific needs. An accomplished marketing and sales executive with broad experience successfully leading the growth of start-up and established brands in highly competitive markets, Kathy now also promotes the complete suite of MSIOM services to new and prospective clients.
