After building snowboard bindings for more than 20 years now, we’ve seen many products and inventions come and go. Some of these products were beneficial to the sport and helped it progress while others proved to be stupid and completely useless. At SP_United we have made it our mission to produce items that will ensure your day in the snow is at it’s best.
After many years of developing we invented the FASTEC™ system, which we and our worldwide brotherhood totally believe in. SP stands for high tech bindings with easy handling, perfect fit and clean designs.
The sLAB series contains the only aluminium based bindings in the SP line. The most lightweight and persistent aeronautic aluminium is used for this high-end product. Whilst using the best possible material is essential - manufacturing technology combined with the experience and skills of people is also needed. More than 20 years of manufactur-ing experience made it possible for us to create this outstanding binding base.
Every sLAB base is almost custom-made. It takes 15 working steps for the raw metal plate to become a binding base. This is then followed by our unique 3-hour-heat-treatment process. After passing several quality checks another 7 steps are needed for the perfect shiny sLAB finish on each single base.
Wow! Sounds like a lot to you? Yeah it is, but the result makes the effort worthwhile - maximum power transmission at a minimum weight!
Because aluminium can be very tough and hard we’ve added molded E.V.A. basebuffers and comfort-able E.V.A. ramps with extra toe and heel dampening zones. - triple dampening tecnology - allows you to land heavy hits in the most forgiving way.
This unique blend of maximum power transmission, minimum weight and dampening is the fundamental key to the unmatched performance, comfort and durability every single sLAB binding stands for.

micro.buckleIf you ever feel you have to change the pressure on your ankle quickly – with our all new micro buckle nothing could be easier. By lifting the buckle you can add a few ladder positions in no time at all without any hassle. Perfect for exerting that last bit of extra pressure before heading toward a monster kicker!

freeride seriesWe dedicated this series of freeride bindings to all riders who try to avoid the crowded slopes by going backcountry. Here there are other obstacles which have to be avoided: such as rocks, trees and crevasses. To ensure the fastest reaction time, we have given these FASTEC bindings our specially developed mountain strap. Without losing any of the comfort and fit features they will exert that bit of extra pressure ensuring quick reaction when you need it!
