Sub: - Notification inviting Application Forms for the posts under Combined Competitive

Examination, 2011.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Dated : 17-06-2011

In continuation of this office Notice dated 01.06.2011, it is hereby reiterated that the

Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission shall be issuing a Notification inviting

Application on prescribed forms from eligible candidates under Combined Competitive

Examination, 2011. The salient features of the Notification shall be as under:-

The Applications shall be invited for Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination,

2011.

Date of Commencement of sale/receipt of ApplicationForms

: 25.06.2011

Last date for receipt of Application Forms : 01.08.2011 Date of holding of Preliminary Examination ((In two

Sessions)

: 25.09.2011

Date of holding of Mains Examination : 15.02.2012

Broad Eligibility Conditions

The candidate must be a permanent resident of the State He/she must have attained the age of 21 years but has not crossed the age of

35 years (in case of OM candidates) on 1st

January, 2011 i.e. a candidate must

have been born not earlier than 01.01.1976 and not later than 01.01.1990

The upper age limit prescribed shall be 37 years, in case of the following:-

a) Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Sociallyand Educationally Backward Classes;

b) Candidates holding a civil post in the State in a substantive capacity:

The upper age limit for physically challenged candidates shall be 38 yearsirrespective of the category to which such a candidate belongs.

He/She must have passed Batchelors Degree from a recognized University ormust have appeared fully in any examination on or before the last date of

receipt of Application Forms for the Preliminary Examination.

The cost of the Application Form shall be Rupees Eight Hundred 800/-(inclusive of service charges by the Bank) for Open Category candidates and

Rupees Five hundred and fifty five 550/- (inclusive of service charges by

the Bank) for such of the Applicants who claim to belong to SC, ST, RBA, ALC,

Social Caste (SOC) and physically Challenged (PHC) categories.

The Application Forms shall be available for sale in any of the designationbranches of the J&K Bank enlisted as per Annexure A.

The pay scale of the posts is 9300-34800 PB-2 with grade pay of 4800. The breakup of posts is as under :-

Rules governing the Examination and the detailed syllabus for Examination

The SRO 387 dated 01.12.2008, read with SRO 154 dated 19-05-2011 andSRO 168 of 2011 dated 31-05-2011 under which the examination is to be

conducted , along with the syllabus of the Preliminary & Mains Examination

has already been uploaded over the official websites of the Commission at

http://www.jkpsc.org and http://www.jkpsc.nic.in . However, a hard copy of

the syllabus along with the rules in the form of booklet shall be provided to

the candidate along with the Application Form.

The Application Forms can be deposited in any of the designated branches ofthe J&K Bank. No Form shall be accepted by the PSC office.
