Karymsky (Russian: Карымская сопка) is a stratovolcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia.

It is the most active volcano of Kamchatka's eastern volcanic zone, a symmetrical stratovolcano

constructed within a 5-km-wide caldera that formed during the early Holocene. Much of the

cone is mantled by lava flows less than 200 years old .

•It was reported that seismic activity at Karymsky was at background

levels during 21-28 February. Some small ash plumes occured and the

lava dome is still growing
