Since a bumpy start in the beginning of the year, senior quarterback Kareem Coles has lead his team on a hot win streak. Coles has thrown for 1,899 yards and 24 touchdowns this season. Averaging 163.8 yards a game, Kareem has made a name for himself as a prolific passer. This Warhawk can also swoop down and become a dual-threat on the ground as he rushed for 656 yards and 13 touchdowns. Coming into his senior year, Coles wanted to improve on his decision making throwing the ball, in which he did. Coles threw one interception the entire season. As an offensive weapon, Coles is no stranger to the defenses he has faced. Making them think twice of which part of his game they want to limit. When Kareem Coles isn’t soaring over the competition on the football field, he’s doing so on the track field in the spring. His 40 yard dash time clocked in at an eye raising 4.59 seconds, bringing in some national attention. Coles also ranks in the top 100 for quarterbacks in California. Madison’s quarterback verbally committed to the Utah State Aggies earlier in the season. Talent can only take players so far, but with leadership skills such as those Kareem has; the sky is the limit for him. The Silver Pigskin Gala is no stranger to the likes of Madison players. Three other Warhawks have been in the recent running for the Silver Pigskin and Kareem has worked hard enough this season to earn a spot at the podium.
