Kansas STD Program Changes Implemented to Emphasize Partner Services to Individuals with Gonorrhea

As of January 1, 2009:• All cases of gonorrhea reported in the state of Kansas have treatment

and pregnancy status (if Female) verified.• All cases of gonorrhea from the health department where DIS are

stationed are required to be interviewed.• All reported cases of gonorrhea in pregnant females must be

interviewed• All repeat positive cases of gonorrhea (between 4 weeks and 4

months) must be interviewed.
