Principal’s Report Students returning to school It has been announced this week that the phased return to school is being replaced due to the strong degree of confidence that COVID‐19 is being well managed. Kandos Public has welcomed the news that ALL students will be returning to school next Monday, 25th May. Cheers all round. We have been looking forward to this moment for a very long while. Student awards The awarding of Key Student and PBL awards resumed last week. Congratula ons to all students who received an award. When awarding Week 3 cer ficates, teachers viewed work a empted from class metables by students over the past weeks and when students were engaged in their learning by being on‐site or through Google Classrooms and Class Dojo. School Photos Our school photos have arrived this week. The office have been busy delivering photos to students when they have been on‐site. Remaining photos will be delivered to classes on Monday. Students who have a medical cer ficate to stay at home will be supported to
learn from home in line with regular procedures, if they are able to. These
regular procedures are different to what is offered during the learning from
home period. If you require work to be provided for your child whilst they are
at home due to an underlying health condi on, you should contact the school
for assistance.
Students who live with a family member in one of the categories iden fied as
being at increased risk by the Australian Health Protec on Principal
Commi ee (AHPPC), should a end school unless a medical prac oner
advises otherwise in wri ng.
If a student is absent without a medical reason for more than three days, this
will be recorded as an unauthorized absence and followed up by the school.
If you need any support to get your child back to school, please contact the
Principal, Mr Tod Morley.
