CONSTRUCTIONOF THE GAMBLING ZONE «AMBER»

The placement borders of the gambling zone Amber are defined in accordance with the Federal Government direction. The area of the Gambling zone (479,1 ha) will be located in Zelenogradskdistrict of Kaliningrad region on the Baltic sea coast nearby Krasnotorovka, Okunevo, Povarovka, Russkoe.

Project plan provides approved land zonation in order to create a multifunctional gambling zone, which includes: hotels, ьentertainment facilities, sports, leisure and business facilities for recreation, relaxation, obtaining medical, spa and other services, with the possibility of gambling (including casinos).

PREPARATION FORTHE FIFA WORLD CUP 2018

In December 2010 Russia got the right on hosting FIFA World Cup 2018. Kaliningrad was added to the list of cities that will host the Tournament.

The town planning concept of the territory development between the beds of the rivers Staraya and Novaya Pregolya was elaborated in 2011.

The concept also includes the construction of a football stadium with the capacity for 45,000 seats on Oktyabrsky island.

CONSTRUCTION OF HOTELS, PENSIONS, HEALTH CENTRES PROPOSAL

Kaliningrad City ranks fourth today, after Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi, among Russian cities in terms of the number of hotel projects that are either under construction or have been announced for construction.

In terms of hospitality in general, it is known that many worldclass hotel operators are planning to build new hotels in Russia, to be opened for visitors by the beginning of the 2018 World Cup’s finals.

In Kaliningrad in particular, Accor, Hotel Group, Russian groups of companies and Polish Dwor Oliwski are developing plans to construct new hotels. New cafes and restaurants will be opened.

FAMILY HOLIDAY THEME PARK

The approximate size of its territory should be 266 hectares. It would be 25 km away from the airport. The construction of the new highway is finished. The workload of the amusement park is expected to be 2 000 000 visitors per year.

It is proposed to place regional family holiday theme park in the western part of the Sambia peninsula – the most developed part of the Baltic seashore.

AMBERLAND

It is considered to redevelop the port of Pionersky into a luxury and modern marina catering for 750 yachts to include 150 within the limit of the existing port with up to 600 yachts by building a new jetty to the east of the existing one just west of the surge of the “salmon” river into the sea.

The marina will be equipped with “state of the art” communication system to include television, internet, electrical and water supply to each of the moorings.

It will incorporate a modern refueling system for large yachts, a regular fuel station and a large shipyard offering all of the technical services a modern marina has to offer in terms of haulage

equipment and maintenance.

CONSTRUCTIONOF A DEEPWATER PORT

Construction of the port complex for transshipment of containerized cargo with a turnover of 65 million tons or 6 million containers per year, and a terminal for handling motor vehicles and rolling cargo capacity of 1 million tons per year is planned.

To ensure a given cargo capacity four large piers for the simultaneous reception of 8 line of container ships with capacity up to 9,000 containers, and 8 feeder container vessels with a capacity of 2500 containers, two berths for handling vessels «roro» with cars are planned to be build.

The center was found on the base of the Kaliningrad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in December 2011 and is a partner of the European network of business and innovations support.
