KAIZEN “Continuous improvement” started by L. D. College of Engineering from

year 2015. Since then every year all the projects of fi nal year U.G. and P.G. are

showcase and judged by the eminent experts from the industries and R&D

organizations. By the pane l of the judges the best three are awarded by cash

prize. The Open House which will showcase the final year industry and user

defined projects of B.E and M.E students on 11th and 12th April 2019. Open

House event will be from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm on day one and 10:30 am to 1:30

pm on day two, during which the projects will be displayed and a jury of

renowned industrialists and academicians will judge them, so that they might be

further taken up for patents and also to prototype in near future. Above all, top

three projects from all the branches will be funded in order to reach market. It

will be our pleasure to welcome your students and faculties to visit the Open

House so that they can interact with our students and facult ies which will be

mutually benefi cial. With the ever growing demands of industry and a new

impetus on Start -ups this event, with a remarkable number of 571 projects

primed by 1800 students, looks forward to open new vistas of opportunities and

encouragement for the students. Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP)

Projects of students of various colleges across the state of Gujarat will also be

exhibited during the event.

Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering, Ahmedabad is a premier engineering

institute in Gujarat State set with the objectives of imparting higher education,

research and training in various fields of engineering & technology. The institute is

affliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad and administrated by

Department of Technical education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar.

The institute was established in June 1948 with a generous donation of Rs. 25 lacs

and 31.2 Hectres of land by the textile m agnate Sheth Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai.

Hence College is named as Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering. It is

situated adjacent to Gujarat University buiding and is located at the nucleus of

various national level institutes such as PRL, ATIRA, IIM etc. The campus is having

buildings for various departments, offi ces, hostels, residences for Principal, rector

and wardens.
