The Superior Plumbing Kennesaw/Big Shanty Festival has been voted Best Festival event for Cobb County by readers of the Marietta Daily Journal. Our event features over 250 Arts & Crafts booths, 30 food booths, two entertain- ment stages, Civil War Encampment, free ground acts and a huge interactive kids zone as well as live acoustic music throughout the weekend. Something for the entire family! A parade will kickoff the festival at 9:30 a.m., on Saturday April 16 th . Crowds line the streets of downtown Kennesaw to cheer on the more than 2,000 kids that participate. These kids represent every sports association and school in the area. Local businesses, the winners of various beauty pageants, and Al- latoona, Kell, Harrison, Kennesaw Moun- tain and North Cobb High School march- ing bands also add to the festivities. Tuesday - April 12: KBA Luncheon (located at KSU Con Ed Center - monthly luncheon) Wednesday - April 13: Sponsor Luncheon (located at Kennesaw Community Center and catered by Carrabba’s Italian Grill - honoring our Big Shanty sponsors) Thursday - April 14: Big Shanty Alive After Five (located at Trackside Grill - 5:30 - 7:30 - Low Country Boil with music and drinks - kick off to Big Shanty - please join us - it’s free!!) Action-packed juggl- ing, audience participation and high energy - the little ones will love this show!! Watch him Saturday a 11 a.m., 1, 3 & 5 p.m., and Sunday at noon 3 and 4 p.m. Not only does she wield the stilts like they are her own legs, she also juggles, dances, and creates an at- mosphere of fun and excitement. She is outgoing and interactive - attracting attention and creating fun! Catch her roaming the festival daily! Kachunga and the Alligator Show - using only is bare hands Kachunga captures the alliga- tor placing him on a deck for a fun and educa- tional lesson on alligator anatomy. Catch the shows on Saturday at noon 2, and 4 p.m., and Sunday at 1, 3 and 5 p.m.

A parade will kickoff the festival at 9:30 a.m., on Saturday April 16

th. Crowds

The Kennesaw Business Association (KBA) partners with the City of Kennesaw to bring you the Superior Plumbing Big Shanty Festival each year downtown. The festival is the major fundraiser for the KBA, as you will see listed below it enables the KBA to do great things in our community. And it does more, creating a vehicle for local businesses to market to their community and is a major fundraiser for several community partners including Kennesaw UMC, St. Catherine's of Siena Men’s Club, Kennesaw Optimist Club, Marietta Lions Club to name a few. The Superior Plumbing Big Shanty Festival also provides quality of life for citizens and a great sense of community with over 14 school choruses performing each year.

The KBA also partners with the City to bring you the Superior Plumbing Taste of Kennesaw. In addition to another quality event for the citizens of Kennesaw, every single penny after expenses goes right back into the community. 1. ONLY THOSE ITEMS (PRODUCT OR SERVICES) LISTED IN YOUR APPROVED APPLICATION ARE ALLOWED TO BE DISPLAYED OR SOLD.

2. FOOD AND WATER MAY NOT BE GIVEN AWAY (WE WILL HAVE A BOTTLED WATER SPON-SOR FOR THE EVENT – SPONSOR WATER IS THE ONLY WATER ALLOWED TO BE SOLD).

3. ROAMING OR WALKING AROUND PROMOTING OR SELLING ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE WITHIN THE BOUDARIES OF THE FESTIVAL IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED UNLESS PRIOR PER-MISSION IS GIVEN.

4. FESTIVAL BOUNDARIES ARE DEFINED BY BARRICADES AND STREET CLOSURES. ALL STREETS, CITY OWNED PARKING LOTS / PROPERTY AND SIDEWALKS ARE PART OF THE FESTIVAL.

5. SPACE ASSIGNMENT IS NON-TRANSFERRABLE.

6. EXHIBITORS MUST PROVIDE ALL DISPLAY TABLES, STANDS, CHAIRS, ETC. FOR DISPLAY OF THEIR WORK.
