An Event for the President’s Council , Legacy Society Members, and Friends

Amid the splendor of the Virginia countryside, a select group will

accompany Fr. Francis “Rocky” Hoffman, Dr. Ryan Anderson, and

members of the College faculty on an intellectual and spiritual journey

representing the height of the Christendom College experience.

Participants will enjoy excellent food and drink at beautiful locations

around the picturesque Shenandoah Valley campus, engage in

stimulating and friendly discussions of the deep questions that challenge

the Faith, and join in faithful prayer and rich reflection.

This year’s topic is The Kingship of Christ and Defending Religious Liberty.

Join us, as we pursue wisdom in the context of a rich Catholic culture,

and together we will seek to restore all things in Christ!

Fr. Francis “Rocky” Hoffman is the Executive Director and CEO of Relevant Radio. He obtained his B.A. in history from Northwestern University, an M.B.A from the University of Notre Dame, and received his Ph.D. in Canon Law from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. He was ordained a priest for Opus Dei in 1992. Fr. Hoffman is a noted author and speaker and has appeared on major radio and television networks.

Fr. John Riley is the parochial chaplain for Sacred Heart Church and Academy in Winchester, Virginia. He received his B.A. in communications from the University of Notre Dame and his M.A. in Catechetics from the Notre Dame Institute, now Christendom Graduate School. He also earned a second M.A. in Divinity and theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, the seminary from which he was ordained in 1991. For four years, Christendom College was blessed to have Fr. Riley as its chaplain. Fr. Riley has written and spoken a great deal on the matters of our Catholic Faith.

Dr. Ryan T. Anderson is the President of the Ethics and Public Policy Center and the Founding Editor of Public Discourse, the online journal of the Witherspoon Institute of Princeton, New Jersey. He received his B.A. from Princeton University and his Ph.D. in political philosophy from the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Anderson is also an adjunct professor for Christendom College’s Philosophy and Political Science departments.

Dr. Timothy O’Donnell received his early education at Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles, California, where he graduated with B.A. degrees in philosophy and history and an M.A. in Church history. He received a doctorate in ascetical and mystical theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome (Angelicum). Dr. O’Donnell is the president of Christendom College.

Dr. Owen Vyner received his B.A. from the University of Western Australia and a Licentiate of Sacred Theology from the Liturgical Institute (Mundelein, IL). He received his MTheol and Ph.D. from the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family (Melbourne). Dr. Vyner is the Chair of the Theology Department at Christendom College and teaches both core and upper-level courses in his areas of specialization: sacramental theology and marriage and the family.
