8 in 1 full-function professional HD Audio Video Encoder newly developed by Hongtushixun with
multiplexer function. It comes with 8 HDMI Video or 8HD-SDI inputs(optional); Video supports
MPEG-2 and H.264 Encoding format with higher encoding compression efficiency and excellent
video quality; Audio supports MPEG-1 Audio Layer2LC-AAC, HE-AAC encoding format. In
additional to the encoding function to 8 HDMI Audio Video signals, at the same time 1ASI input
and 1IP input(optional, IP output is included) are available to MPTS output together with existed
TS stream from encoding after they are multiplexed. It comes with 1group ASI multiplexing
output(2 routes) and 1IP output port(optional, IP input is including), IP output supports 16 routes
SPTS or 1MPTS output. IP and ASI stream output(consistent or inconsistent) is independent.
You can choose H.264 encoding or MPEG-2 encoding for different input. In the H.264 encoding
mode, each input can simultaneously output two streams with different resolution for different
network requirements.
Its higher integration and versatile design can effectively reduce cost of digital TV system. It can
be widely used in different digital TV head-end system, Digital Terrestrial and IPTV digital TV
systems.

Chapter 2 Installation guide
2.1 Acquisition Check
When user open the package of the device, it is necessary to check the packaging materials of
widgets, check items in the package according to packing list or the following items:

If any item is missing or mismatches with the list above, please contact the company
immediately.
2.2 Installation Preparation
When user install the device, please follow the following steps,The details of installation will be
described at the rest part of this chapter, user can also refer to the rear panel chart, this chapter
mainly include the following content.
Checking the possible device missing or damage during the transportation.
Preparing relevant environment for installation.
Installing Encoder.
Connecting signal wires.
Connecting communication port(optional).

2.2.3 Grounding System design Requirements
Each function modules good grounding design will guarantee reliable and stable operation of the
device, also guarantee against lighting, anti-interference. Therefore, the system grounding must
follow this rule.
Outer conductor of coaxial cable and both ends of shielding layer should keep good electrical
contact with surface of the metal chassis of connected devices
Grounding conductor must use copper conductor to reduce the high frequency impedance,
grounding wire must be as thick and short as possible
Both ends of the ground wire connection point should confirm the electrical contact is good,
and should be done anti corrosive processing.
Prohibit using the other equipment as the part of the ground wires electrical connection.
Conductor cross-sectional area between Cabinet and grounding wire of lightning protection
should be equal or greater than 25mm .
Cabinet Grounding
Grounding terminal of each cabinet in same room should be separately connected to protected
copper platoon, the grounding wire should be as short as possible, if the wiring is too long when
the project installed, should be cut off to avoid grounding wire circling, conductor cross-sectional
area between Ground terminal and ground platoon should be equal or greater than 25mm

2.3 The power wire connection
Power jack located in left side of the rear panel, next to the power socket, is the power switch,
under the left of the power socket is the connective screw of protective grounding wire.
Connect the power wire
Insert one end of the power wire into AC power socket, and another end connected to AC power.
Connect the grounding wire
When the device connects separately to protective ground, it should adopt independent
grounding way, that is, grounded together with other devices(such as transmission equipment),
Grounding resistance of Joint Ground is less than 1.
CautionBefore connecting the power wire, encoder power switch must be placed in OFFposition, and required grounded together with the power supply system.
Signal wire connection include connection of output and input signal wire, signal wire of input
HDMI high-definition connected with HDMI high-definition interface of encoder, the other end
connect with the output interface of the front-end source equipment. The encoder has 1GE
port(IP signal input/output network port), it can connected to the device of transmission network
with network wire.
Encoder parameters are set by the network interface device operation. Therefore encoder device
must be connected via 100M Ethernet switch with the computer.

browser(support IE browser, Firefox browser, google browser etc.)interface, set each parameter,
system maintenance and upgrade set, the default setting of device can be used before the
normal business, also can modify or reconfigured the device parameter settings.

default IP address is 20), click the search button to enter the following interface.

In figure 2 interface,click on the top row of "Monitor" (condition monitoring) key to enter the device
network "condition monitoring" screen. Respectively display reads 1, "ASI Output Status" (ASI
output rate), 2, "ASI Input Status" (input rate), 3, "IP Output Status" (IP output rate), 4 "alarm
"(alarm), 5," Encoder Status "(coded channel condition monitoring, normal green LED is lit, not
normal green LED does not light) 5 group, the English state monitoring information, as shown in
figure 3 below

3.4 NMS device "Input Output Settings" interface to enter
In Figure 2 interface, click on the top row of "Input / Output" key to enter the device network
"input-output" setting interface. Click on the left top of the "Input / Output Settings" input,
output setting keys appear: "Input Settings", "Output Settings". Click on each "Input
Settings" button, "Output Settings" button. Enter respectively the "Encode Settings", "ASI
Output Sett ings" and "IP Output Sett ings" IP network interface output sett ings.

Encoding channel Mux setting network management interface has two main functions: 1 set
whereabouts encoding channels program, select 002 multiplex to IP output channels, select OFF,
not to be multiplexed output. 2 display encoding channels detailed program information, such
as TS ID, original network IDPMT PIDPCR PIDelementary stream video PID
elementary stream video PIDPAT\CAT\SDT versionconditional access system(EMM)program type and the program providers information. And this information can only be viewed.
Please go to the output program main item when need to modify the program.
There are eight encoding channels, each channel has the same Mux setting network
management interface,1 encoding channel Mux setting network management interface as shown
figure 11.

3.5.2 Input Program Info under the main item ASI Input Informationsinterface
Click on "Input Program Info" button, it will appear "Encode Input Information", "ASI
Input Information" 2 small items. Click on "ASI Input Information" button to enter the ASI input
channels Mux settings network interface.
ASI input channel Mux setting network interface has two main functions: 1detailed ASI input
channels information after searching all programs, such as TS ID, original network ID, PMT PID,
PCR PID, the elementary stream video PID, basic streaming audio PID, PAT / CAT / SDT
version, conditional Access System (EMM), program type, program providers information. The
provided information can only be viewed, when it needs to modify the program, please enter the
output program editing main item.
2After searching all the details on the program displayed in the search based on ASI input
channels , set the whereabouts ASI inputs of all programs, select 001 is multiplexed to ASI output
channel, select 002 is multiplexed to IP output channels, when you select OFF, is not to be
multiplexed output.

3.5.3 "Output Program Edit" under the main item "NIT Edit" NIT editing interface
Click on "Output Program Edit" button. Enter Respectively "NIT Edit" "ASI Output Edit" ,
"IP Output Edit" 3 small items network management interface.
Click on "NIT Edit" button, you can enter the "Network information Edit" NIT table network
interface.
The NIT editor NMS interface has three main functions: 1 add directly, " Network ID, " Network
Name", " NIT version number" , NIT replace selection switch (ASI input stream NIT or self-edited
NIT) . 2 In the NIT description box may edit(currently only add DVB-C system, could be
upgraded later) TS ID, ON ID, frequency, modulation mode, symbol rate, FEC lnner, FEC outer7
items content, each NIT editor Upon completion, the hook inside the small box behind already
exist, such as the need NIT delete a message, click on the hook behind the small box inside it,
and click "Submit" to delete. 3, support program reuse and may choose to delete a set of
program (input program choices after reuse has box here, such as the need to remove the set of
programs, click the check, become effective after submission). 4, click the drop-down list on
each program can be edited detailed information of each program, here both ASI input channel
and coding input channels are the same.

3.6.2 Device Restore Factory Settings

factory setting. When you find the device is not working in normal, if you do not know to configure
the device, please be careful with this option.

3.6.4 User Management
Click on User Management,there will be User Management network management interface
User Management network management main function is to manage and modify user name
password .
User Management network management interface as shown in Figure 19.
1.Please read this introduction carefully before use the equipment.
2.Note: when install the equipment, remember to correctly connect the protective grounding
cable first. After connect other signal cables, power off the equipment, then plug the outlet cable.
3.Note In order to ensure the equipment running stably, Do cut off the power before any
change of cable connection on the ports of back panel.
4.Make sure the working environment is under temperature 0-45C and other required
conditions. Keep the back panel ventilated. Make sure all the connections are correct of the
relative ports.
5.When initial use, make sure the A/V source is connected normally.
6.Do not open the lid to avoid electrical shock or damage of the unit.
7.Do not turn on and off the equipment too often, the time interval between on and off should be
at least 20 seconds.
8.If the equipment would not be in use for long time, please unplug the power cord. Do not use
damaged power in case of fire or electric shock.
9.Do not touch the power line with wet hands. When any liquid flows into the chassis, cut power
off IMMEDIATELY.
10.Put the equipment in a horizontal place. Do not stack heavy objects on the equipment to
prevent damage.
11.Settle the equipment in ventilated environment and suitable temperature. Keep the equipment
away from the fierce light, moisture and severe vibration.
12.If the working environment has sharp temperature difference as previous, please keep the
equipment off for one or two hours before power on again.
13.Between the machine power switch and power socket with fuse holder, When the machine
power overload or short circuit, the fuse tube disconnected, exchangeable with Specifications of
the new fuse tube. Remove the fuse tube block method: unplug the power plug with a
screwdriver inserted into the fuse holder gaps can skip the fuse tube block. New machine fuse
header contains two fuse tube, one of which is as a backup, damaged the fuse tube can be
removed, change another backup fuse tube, then the fuse tube to insert the original location.
