What if you had just one wish, what would it be? Not three wishes just one… a wish that would change your life. what would it be?

You could wish for abundant prosperity… not for selfish reasons but to win more souls. but then ‘the Lord already provides all your need according to his riches in Glory through Christ Jesus’ Philippians 4:19

Page 4: Just One Wish

You could wish for health to finish the race but then find that the Lord is the ‘health of your countenance’ Psalm 42:11 and that ‘by his stripes you are healed already’ 1 Peter 2:24

Page 5: Just One Wish

You could have wish for love so that you could love people and the Lord more than you do but find that ‘His love is shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit’ Romans 5:5

Page 6: Just One Wish

You could wish for peace so that you could have peace with yourself and those who are against you, but then find ‘that the Lord is your peace’ and that ‘he has already given you his peace’ John 14:27

You could wish for faith so that you could move mountains in the lives of others as well as your own life, then discover that ‘the life you now live you live by the faith of Jesus Christ’ Galatians 2:20

You could wish for righteousness and holiness so that you could live right before God but then see that ‘you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus’ 2 Corinthians 5:21 and that Holiness is an ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.

You could wish for deliverance from ‘the sin that so easily besets you’ Hebrews 12:1 but then realize that ‘the blood of Jesus Christ Gods Son cleanses you from all sin’ 1 John 1:7

You could wish for strength so that you would be a better witness to those who live with sorrow and regrets; then find that the Lord is your strength’ Exodus 15:2 indeed he is ‘the strength of your life’ Psalm 27:1

You could have wished for blessings so that you may bless those who have little; but then find that, ‘you are blessed (already) with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places’ Ephesians 1:3

Page 12: Just One Wish

You could wish for companionship for ‘two are better than one’ Ecclesiastes 4:9 but then find that the lord sent you the Holy Spirit who will ‘never leave you or forsake you’ Hebrews 13:5

You could wish for comfort so that you could comfort those who face persecution, but then find that the Lord ‘sent you another comforter, his Holy Spirit’ John 14:16

Page 14: Just One Wish

You could wish for someone to give me good counsel and then find that he is the ‘wonderful Counsellor’ Isaiah 9:6

Page 15: Just One Wish

You could wish for protection from the storms of life only to find that the Lord is ‘your refuge and your fortress Psalm 91:2 and that ‘the shadow of his wings is your refuge, until calamities pass over’Psalm 57:1

You could wish for guidance so that you could walk wholly after God and then see that ‘the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord’ Psalm 37:23

You could wish for power to overcome your enemy and find that the Lord is an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries’ Exodus 23:22

You could wish for mercy for your many failings and then find that Gods ‘mercy is new every morning’Lamentations 3:23

You could ask for forgiveness and then find that ‘as far as the east is from the west thus far has the Lord removed your transgressions from you’ Psalm 103:12

You could wish you could stop feeling condemned and find that ‘there is now therefore no condemnation for you are in Christ Jesus and walk after the Spirit’ Romans 8:1

Page 21: Just One Wish

You could wish for freedom to live a God honouring life and then find that ‘he that the Son sets free is free indeed’ John 8:36

You could wish to know the love of a father but then find that, ‘God is a Father to the fatherless’ and that ‘he loves you asChrist loved you and gave his life for you’ John 15:9

You could wish for a friend, only to find that in Christ you have ‘a friend that sticks closer than a brother’ Proverbs 18:24

Page 24: Just One Wish

You could wish to be close to the Lord for you know that in his presence there is fullness of joy’ Psalm 16:11 then find that, ‘you are already made near by the blood ofChrist for he is your peace’ Ephesians 2:13-14

Page 25: Just One Wish

You could wish to start your life all over again but then realize; ‘you are already a new person, the old man has passed away and all things have already become new’ 2 Corinthians’ 5:17.

You could wish for favour so that you could prosper in all your ways and then realize that ‘God has surrounded you with favour as a shield’ Psalm 5:12 and ‘you are daily loaded with benefits’ Psalm 68:19

Page 27: Just One Wish

You could wish for a lasting inheritance only to find that ‘you are born again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an incorruptible, undefiled inheritance that fades not away and that is reserved in heaven for you’ 1 Peter 1:3-4

You could wish for holiness for without holiness no man can see God but then find that, ‘you are a partaker of Gods holiness’ Hebrews 12:10 and ‘have his divine nature’ 2 Peter 1:4

You could wish to be perfect before God and man and then find that ‘you are perfected forever by one offering’ Hebrews 10:14 ‘one offering for sin once for all’ Hebrews 10:10 and that ‘you are going on to perfection’ Hebrews 6:1

You could wish to live a fear less life before God and then find that, ‘His perfect love cast out all fear and that fear is made perfect in love’ 1 John 4:18

Page 31: Just One Wish

There really is nothing left to wish for; the Lord in his grace has already given you ‘every good and perfect gift’ James 1:17

Page 32: Just One Wish

So today why not choose to stop wishing and start believing and give thanks to the Lord who made wishes redundant when he gave his life to purchase everything good thing for you.
