Just a Good Idea, or a Responsibility of Every Christian?

Paul requested prayers for himself and those he was working with Rom 15:30; Col 4:2-3; 1 Thes

5:25; 2 Thes 3:1 Is it possible you are unsure what to

pray for?A simple look at God’s word will offer

you some tips on what to pray for others

Pray they love God with all their being Deut 6:5; Mt 22:36-37; Lk 10:26-

27 Pray this love leads to complete

obedience Jn 14:15, 23-24; 1 Jn 5:2

Pray they grow spiritually Col 1:9-10; 2 Pet 3:18; Heb

5:12-14

Pray they speak only the truth Gal 1:6-12; 2 Tim 2:15

Pray they be protected from the evil one Jn 17:15; Eph 6:12-13; 2 Thes

3:1-3Pray they will be devoted to prayer

we have seen several reasons why already

Pray they remain pure Mt 5:8; Rom 13:3-5; 1 Thes 4:3-5;

2 Tim 2:22 Pray they manage their time wisely

Prov 3:1-2; Jn 9:4; Col 4:5; Eph 5:15-17; Jam 4:13-17

Pray they have a proper view/perspective of self Prov 16:5, 18; Rom 12:13, 16;

1 Cor 10:12; Jam 4:6

I pray you will use this lesson as intended and pray for others

As you consider how to pray for others, recognize you should pray these for yourself as well

May we all not take God’s expectation lightly but all pray for one another
