IntroductionIntroductionLast week, the 6th graders in ISY visited the neighborhood around golden valley. In this photo essay, I hope that you learn about how where the people around the neighborhood live affects how they live. We asked many questions and took fantastic pictures. I hope you enjoy this photo essay as much I did.
Thank You.
This is a vegetable and snack shop in the back corner of the golden valley. A women called Ko Thu and her daughter owns this little shop.
These 2 eggs are both duck eggs. Even though they are same, it look quite different. The top one is just a normal duck egg but the other one is covered with urine which is a kind of medicine.
These are the people who got interviewed. The one on the right is the owner of the little shop. The young lady on the left is the daughter of the shop owner, May Myat Thu.
Almost all trishaw drivers rent these trishaws. They pay about 700 kyats every day to rent these. It is very cheap because it is also cheap to ride on them.
This is a house next to the small vegetable shop. The people in this house are very good people.
This is the drain for this house. Tap water and water used for washing clothes are some examples.
The golden valley in Myanmar is a very nice and quiet place. It is not crowded and you could get good business here. This is why there are many little shops around here.
There are also different lives around the neighborhood around ISY. Wild dogs and cats are some examples. There are also monkeys as well.
It is busy all day long almost anywhere. People building houses and welcoming their customers that come to there shop are some examples. Especially when it is afternoon, many customers come to the tea shops.
