The Juniper Networks Certi�cation Program features three Junos OS based tracks (Service Provider Routing and Switching, Enterprise Routing and Switching, and Security) as well as a number of product speci�c tracks allowing you to choose a track that meets your career goals.

Three Junos Tracks:Service Provider Routing and Switching: This track is for those working with infrastructure or access solutions in a Juniper Networks routing and/or switching end-to-end environment primarily within the telecommunications arena or a Fortune 100 Enterprise environment.

Enterprise Routing and Switching: This track is for those working in small through large Enterprise environments that install and support Juniper Networks technology-based networks in which LAN and WAN routers and switches reside.

Junos Security: This track is directed toward those who design and implement Juniper Networks secure networks.

Junos Suppor Tracks: The Juniper Networks Certi�cation Program (JNCP) Junos Support Tracks allow participants to demonstrate competence with Juniper Networks technology. Successful candidates demonstrate thorough understanding of troubleshooting on Junos devices.

Product and Technology Certi�cations: The JNCP features seven Product and Technology tracks based on speci�c Juniper Networks technologies. These tracks are aimed at professionals that make extensive use of these technologies and include E Series, Firewall/VPN, Junos Pulse Secure Access, Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP), WX Series and Junos Pulse Access Control.

Junos Routing Essentials (JRE)

Overview: This one-day CLASSROOM course provides students with foundational routing knowledge and con�guration examples, and includes an overview of general routing concepts, routing policy, and �rewall �lters.

Course Duration: 1 Day

Junos Intermediate Routing (JIR)

Overview: This two-day CLASSROOM course provides students with intermediate routing knowledge and con�guration examples. The course includes an overview of protocol-in-dependent routing features, load balancing and �lter-based forwarding, OSPF, BGP, IP tunneling, and high availability (HA) features.

Course Duration: 2 Days

Advanced Junos EnterpriseRouting (AJER)

Overview:This three-day course is designed to provide students with the tools required for implementing, monitoring, and trouble-shooting Layer 3 components in an enter-prise network. Detailed coverage of OSPF, BGP, class of service (CoS), and multicast is strongly emphasized. Through demonstra-tions and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in con�guring and monitoring the Junos operating system and in monitoring device and protocol operations.

Course Duration: 2 Days

Junos Troubleshooting in the NOC (JTNOC)

Overview: This three-day course is designed to provide introductory troubleshooting skills for engineers in a network operations center (NOC) environment. Key topics within this course include troubleshooting method-ology, troubleshooting tools, hardware monitoring and troubleshooting, interface monitoring and troubleshooting, trouble-shooting the data plane and control plane on devices running the Junos operating system, staging and acceptance methodology, troubleshooting routing protocols, monitoring the network, and working with JTAC. Course Duration: 3 Days

Overview: This three-day course is designed to cover best practices, theory, and design principles for overall network design and will serve as the prerequisite course for other design subject areas — data center, security, and WAN.

Course Duration: 3 Days

Advanced Junos Enterprise Switching Troubleshooting (AJEXT)

Overview: This one-day course is designed to provide students with information about troubleshooting spanning tree protocols, Q-in-Q tunneling, port security features, multicast, and class of service (CoS). Students will gain experience in monitoring and troubleshooting these topics through demonstration as well as hands-on labs. The course exposes students to common trou-bleshooting commands and tools used to troubleshoot various intermediate to advanced issues.Course Duration: 1 Day

Data Center Switching (DCX)

Overview: This two-day course is designed to introduce QFX5100 features including, but not limited to, Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP), uni�ed in-service software upgrade (ISSU), multichassis link aggregation (MC-LAG), Mixed Virtual Fabric, and Virtual Chassis Fabric (VCF). Students will learn to con�gure and monitor these features that exist on the Junos operating system running on the QFX5100 and EX4300 Series platform.

Course Duration: 2 Days

NEW DESIGN & DATACENTER TRACKS

Troubleshooting Data Center Switching (TDCX)

Overview: This one-day course is designed to provide students with advanced knowl-edge of some key QFX5100 features. Students will be able to enhance the knowl-edge and skills learned in the Data Center Switching (DCX) course, which serves as a prerequisite to this course.

Overview: This four-day course is designed to provide students with detailed coverage of OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, and routing policy. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in con�guring and monitoring the Junos operating system and in monitoring device and protocol operations.

Course Duration: 4 Days

Junos MPLS and VPNs (JMV):

Overview: This �ve-day course is designed to provide students with MPLS-based virtual private network (VPN) knowledge and con�guration examples. The course includes an overview of MPLS concepts such as control and forwarding plane, RSVP Tra�c Engineering, LDP, Layer 3 VPNs, BGP Layer 2 VPNs, LDP Layer 2 Circuits, and virtual private LAN service (VPLS).

Course Duration: 5 Days

Junos Multicast Routing (JMR)

Overview: This two-day course is designed to provide students with detailed coverage of multicast protocols including Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP), Proto-col Independent Multicast–Dense Mode (PIM-DM), Protocol Independent Multi-cast–Sparse Mode (PIM-SM), Bidirectional PIM, and Multicast Source Discovery Protocol (MSDP).

Course Duration: 2 Days

Advanced Junos Service Provider Troubleshooting (AJSPT)

Key topics within this course include security technolo-gies such as security zones, security policies, intrusion detection and prevention (IDP), Network Address Translation (NAT), and high availability clusters.

Advanced Junos Security (AJSEC)

Overview: This three-day course, which is designed to build o� of the current Junos Security (JSEC) o�ering, delves deeper into Junos security explains security features with advanced coverage of IPsec deployments, virtualization, AppSecure, advanced Network Address Translation (NAT) deploy-ments, and Layer 2 security.

Course Duration: 3 Days

Junos Intrusion Prevention Systems (JIPS)

Overview: This two-day course is designed to provide an introduction to the Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) feature set (provided by Junos IPS Secure) available on the Juniper Networks SRX Series Services Gateway. The course covers concepts, ideas, and terminol-ogy relating to providing intrusion preven-tion using the SRX Series platform.

Course Duration: 2 Days

Junos Uni�ed Threat Management (JUTM)

Overview: This one-day course includes detailed coverage of Web �ltering, antivirus (AV), antispam, and content �ltering. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in con�guring and monitoring the Uni�ed Threat Manage-ment (UTM) features of the Junos operating system.

Overview: This �ve-day course is designed to serve as the ultimate preparation for the Juniper Networks Certi�ed Internet Expert—Security (JNCIE-SEC) exam. The course focuses on caveats and tips useful for potential test candidates and emphasizes hands-on practice through a series of timed lab simulations. On the �nal day of the course, students are given a six-hour lab simulation emulating the testing topics and environment from the real exam. This course is based on Junos OS Release 12.1X46-D10.2 for SRX Series devices.

Course Duration: 5 Days

JNCIE Service Provider Bootcamp (JNCIE-SP)

Overview:This �ve-day course is designed to serve as the ultimate preparation for the Juniper Networks Certi�ed Internet Expert—Service Provider (JNCIE-SP) exam. Introduction to Juniper Networks Wireless LANs (IJWL)

Overview: This three-day course provides an overview of the WLS hardware and software products and their capabilities and features.

The course describes the WLS system architecture and a project framework for deploying a WLS system. It covers the Radio Frequency (RF) planning capabilities of the RingMaster software and basic wireless LAN controller (WLC) con�guration through the command-line interface (CLI) and the Web-View interface. The course then moves on to describe system and service con�guration using RingMaster. The course also describes a secure, enterprise-grade employee service in detail and introduces other service options (such as a Web portal login). Integration issues with the back-end authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA), Domain Name System (DNS), and Dynamic Host Con�guration Protocol (DHCP) servers are examined, and the monitoring, management, and reporting capabilities of the RingMaster software are also described.

Advanced Juniper Networks Wireless LANs (AJWL)

Overview: This course is designed to provide advanced con�guration and monitoring details pertaining to the WLS and its capabil-ities and features.

The course is designed to build on the skills learned in the IJWL course and take students to the next level of expertise as a Juniper Networks wireless design, implementation or management engineer.

The course describes best practice guide-lines for planning an enterprise-wide Juniper Networks wireless LAN system with its �exible domain architecture. Best practices for advanced security are presented, as are the issues to be considered when deploying voice and mesh services. Centrally managed architectures are also presented. The course includes a look at some advanced trouble-shooting techniques.
