RI Promise: Pending State FundingWho is eligible for Rhode Island Promise?
1. You must be a Rhode Island resident who qualifies for in-state tuition and fees pursuant to the Residency Policy as adopted by the Council on Postsecondary Education.
2. You must be a high school graduate (public, private or homeschooled) or GED® recipient who was younger than 19 years of age when you completed high school or the GED® program.
3. You must be admitted to CCRI and enrolling in the semester immediately following high school graduation or the receipt of a high school equivalency diploma.

What is Tuition Break?NEBHE’s Tuition Break program, the New England Regional Student Program (RSP), enables thousands of New England residents to enroll at out-of-state New England public colleges and universities at a discount. Students are eligible for the RSP Tuition Break when they enroll in an approved major or program.
New England includes the following six states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Deadlines● Early Action is non-binding application plan that provides a student with an early notification
of decision, often in December. If admitted, the student is free to consider other offers of admission and other financial aid packages, and has until May 1 to make a final decision
● Early Decision (Binding) is a binding application plan. Typically the student must apply in the beginning of November and must submit an Early Decision Agreement with her application (signed by the student, her parent and the school counselor) acknowledging that the student will attend if admitted. The student can only apply to one Early Decision college and agrees to withdraw any other applications already submitted if she is admitted to that college.
