This pro#e!t aims at eveloping a !omprehensive %resear!h roa map&supporting a!tive ageing an revolutioni'e the !urrent passive state ofretirement in Europe$ The main area of work for UvA is fo!use on

eveloping a set of s!enarios an a vision for the esirable state of a!tiveageing a prominent nee !onsi ering the rapi emographi! shift inEurope$ u!h vision an s!enarios shall lea to the evelopment of novela van!e information an !ommuni!ation te!hnologies (*CT) infrastru!turesan support tools$ The spe!i+! role of UvA in the pro#e!t is,

-) To i entify the re.uirements for eveloping new *CT"base solutions(i$e$ mo els tools an systems)

/) !enario spe!i+!ations to e0ploit the potential of new emergingte!hnologies an ambitious areas of re.uire resear!h

1) The evelopment of the vision for the %resear!h roa map& to help theEuropean Commission e+ne its future resear!h program in the area$

The resear!h a!tivities of UvA in!lu e evelopment of i eas an results in!ollaboration with resear!hers in several other international s!ienti+! 2resear!h institutes$

The work of the open position is planne for a uration of about -$3 yearsuring whi!h the stu ent !an also !omplete his2her 4aster thesis$

Analyti!al abilities an goo !omman of English is re.uire to evelopte!hni!al reports$ 5referen!es are given to 4aster stu ents in the +nalphase of their !ourse (i$e$ nee ing to evelop the thesis) with goo writingskills for e0pressing their i eas$
