From the desk of the Director…

Summer here we come! Here are just a few updates.

1. As you can see construction on the church is moving along. As they begin to bring in more materials, it may be necessary for us to close the Center. If this decision needs to be made we will make sure to give everyone as much

notice as possible. 2. I want to remind everyone it is your responsibility to sign yourself in on

Co-Pilot every time you come into the Center. This is very important because it is a requirement of Allegheny County.

3. Also please remember it is your responsibility to sign up for lunch by noon the day before. We ONLY order as many lunches as we have people signed

up. We CANNOT guarantee that there will be extra food. 4. In this month’s newsletter are the final names of those who donated to our

2016 Mail Appeal. I again want to thank everyone for their donations to support our programs and services.

There will be NO congregate or home delivered meals. The RCAC bus will

Please leave a message!!. Our telephone system allows you to leave

messages when all the lines are busy. Please leave a message

instead of continuing to call back. This is very helpful in the morning as

the phones are very busy with incoming calls for the bus.

The following classes will not meet in June, July and August:

Latin Inspired Fitness will resume on Monday, September 11 @

9:15 am.

Mediation Classes will return in September.

Line Dancing with Roz will return Friday nights in September.

Line dancing w/Bea will end June 30 and resume

Friday, September 8 @ 10am

“No Impact” Aerobics will begin at 10:30am on Mondays and Fridays

in July & August

LUNCH MENU


One-Pan Sautee

Ingredients: · 1 pkg frozen stir-fry veggie mix (no added sauces or seasonings) · 1 skinless, boneless chicken breast, cubed into ½ inch pieces (can substitute frozen shrimp) · ¼ cup low-fat zesty Italian dressing

· 1 cup frozen brown rice

Preparation: 1. In a skillet, cook cubed chicken in 1 TBS olive oil. 2. Add stir-fry veggies to skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. 3. Add frozen rice to skillet and 1 TBS of water (of needed to allow rice to warm). 4. Add dressing, bring to a boil and mix ingredients together until veggies are warmed, but still crisp.
