    Free Tickets to Hot Summer Nights Childrens Concert Series - The Missouri Symphony Society has provided us with free tickets to the family and childrens concert series performances this summer. If you would like some free tickets for you and your family, see Jill at the Connections table in the Connector. All concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. and are held at the Missouri Theater. Concert dates: June 11- Filled or Sprinkled; June 25-Come Dance With Me; July 9- Moving Parts (Music and Anatomy)

    Nametags - We would like to give a warm welcome to Rev. Kendall Waller when he joins us on June 28 by wearing our nametags. Please mark the tearoff if you need to order a new one. Nametags are $5 each.

    Coming Up June 9: Social Justice Book Club - Discussion will concentrate

    on the first three chapters of The New Jim Crow on Tuesday, June 9 at 7 p.m. in the Parlor. The remainder of the book will be discussed at a date to be decided. For more information, contact Anne Gifford RN, D.Ed.Min., at [email protected], or Melissa Clarke at [email protected].

    June 15: Deadline to submit materials for MUMC Foundation undergraduate scholarships. www.moumc.org/scholarships

    June 16: Prayer shawl ministry evening knitting group will meet Tuesday, June 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the Cornerstone Coffee Shop area.

    July 1: The Missouri United Methodist Foundation Board will be accepting applications for grants at the July meeting. Applications should address the religious, charitable and educational activities of the church. Application forms are available at the church office and should be returned to the Foundation mailbox at the office. All applications must be received no later than July 1, 2015.

    July 9: Christmas Dinner Donations and Volunteers Needed - The Annual Christmas in July Dinner will be held July 9 from 5:30-7 p.m. at MUMC. This dinner provides food for more than 400 people. Santa will visit and children will be entertained with craft activities. Donations of cash, food, childrens activity books and crayons are needed. If you would like to be involved, please contact Suzanne McDavid at [email protected] or 474-4416 or Pat Martin at [email protected] or 445-5603.
