SUMMERTIME IS HERE!
During the summer we need volunteers to serve cool refreshments & cookies after worship
starting July 7. (Favorite punch recipes are always enjoyed!!) The summer sign up sheet for
refreshments during July and August is now posted. Please check it out for any dates you may
be available to help out.
Regular coffee and tea schedule will resume in September.
We appreciate your assistance!
Thank you,
The Membership and Hospitality Team
KITCHEN CONCERNS!
Last Sunday the worship team turned on the wall oven but due to fumes were unable to use it. It took 2 self clean treatments and much scrubbing to clean the debris that had built up.
This is a gentle reminder that any group or individual using the kitchen appliances needs to check for spillage and wipe up before leaving. This also goes without saying for the fridge and the microwave.
It is only fair that the appliances are left clean:
(a) for the next user
(b) to avoid any issues if the health inspector does a snap inspection.
(c) to avoid setting off the fire alarms.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

ARE YOU RECORDING YOUR ACTIVITIES? Halton Hills is joining the
ParticipACTION COMMUNITY BETTER CHALLENGE
Details about the Challenge:
We are challenging those who work, live, and play in Halton Hills to track their physical activity minutes in an effort for the Town of Halton Hills to be recognized as Canada’s Most Active Community.
So what do we want from you? All you have to do is get #ACTIVEEASY. By tracking your active
minutes between May 31st and June 16th and by engaging your family, friends, neighbours
and fellow community members to GET ACTIVE, Halton Hills could win $150,000 to go towards physical activity initiatives and be crowned the title of Canada’s Most Active Community!
Activity can be tracked INDIVIDUALLY or through a GROUP:
• YOU can individually download the ParticipACTION app! By doing so, minutes tracked through your app will automatically go toward your community score (based on your postal code; must be in Halton Hills to count towards the Halton Hills goal!). The more you use the app, the greater chance your community will have of succeeding. Download the ParticipACTION app as of late-January to be eligible for individual rewards!
• YOU can individually sign-up at www.participACTION.com and start tracking your physical
activity minutes. Individuals will also be able to track on behalf of their children.
• GROUPS/ORGANIZATIONS/BUSINESSES can register “events” at www.particpACTION.com and log the total number of active minutes (e.g. 50 people doing a 60 minute yoga class = 3000 minutes).
Our newly added St. Andrew's ParticpACTION event will be a walk each of the next 2 Sundays (June 9 & 16) right after coffee time.
We will offer 3 different distance walks:
1) Short -Sinclair, Duncan, cut through to Pennington, Mountainview, church;
2) Medium -Sinclair, Duncan, Weber, Delrex, Mountainview, church;
3) Long - Coldest Night of the Year route 5km - Mountainview, Guelph St., Delrex, Mountainview, Church.
We will happily push anyone who is in a wheelchair or has a sit upon walker but we're not offering piggy back rides. The more the merrier and we will make a huge statement/show our presence in the community by walking together.
Make sure you wear/bring your comfy walking shoes!!
FREE ICE SKATE - FRIDAY, JUNE 7th (TOMORROW) from 7:00 to 8:02 pm
Join us on FRI JUN 7th, 7:00-8:20pm at the MoldMasters SportsPlex for a FREE ICE SKATE with MAYOR BONNETTE! Free skate rental included.
This event is part of the Community Better Challenge. Come on out and support the community in an effort to be crowned CANADA’S MOST ACTIVE COMMUNITY!
There will be a draw for a Family Activity Kit, and swag for participants. Come out for some fun and physical activity.

Humour Corner
MULTIPLE FATHERS
A group of guys I know took a trip to France and decided to attend Mass in a small
town, even though none of them understood French. They managed to stand, kneel, and sit when
the rest of the congregation did, so it wouldn’t be obvious they were tourists. At one point, the
priest spoke and the man sitting next to them stood up, so they got up too. The entire
congregation broke into hearty laughter.
After the service they approached the priest, who spoke English, and asked him what had been
so funny. The priest said he had announced a birth in the parish and asked the father to stand up.
