3 Retail Market Subcommittee The MARS Task Force has been retired. RMS formed the Market Advanced Readings and Settlements Taskforce in Summer 2008 to facilitate implementation of PRR766 and the transition to 15-minute settlement with smart meter data. Thank you to Kathy Scott (CenterPoint Energy) for her dedication chairing the MARS TF for the past 4 years. Going forward, retail issues related to AMS data will be addressed by the TX SET Working Group.

• TX SET v4.0 was successfully implemented on June 10, 2012

• Key Benefits– Same-day service for customers with AMS meters

– Automation of Switch Hold functionality for Payment Plans & Meter Tampering

– Automated process for quick transfer of customers from one REP to another e.g. merger or acquisition

• RMGRR109: Updates to the Process for Removal of a Switch Hold for Premises with a Continuous Service Agreement

– Current process to remove switch-hold fails to contemplate scenario where a tenant at a property w/ a CSA agreement moves out without informing their REP.

– Revision creates clear and convenient process for removing the switch hold and restoring service in the property’s name.
