About Nigeria A population of 140 Million (based on 2006

census) – Africas’ most populous nation Federal System of Government; 36 +1 States 7th largest oil exporter in the world; endowed

with other natural resources like coal, iron-ore and bitumen

GDP of US$294.8 (as of 1st Apri, 2007) Oil accounts for 20% of GDP, 95% of foreign

exchange and 65% of budgetary revenue 70% of working population servicing the
