An Effie Agency Heads breakfast meeting was held on the 18th of June 2019 at The Kingsbury Colombo in order to get the feedback and to state the progress for Effie this year.

A workshop for participants of Brand Excellence 2019 was held on the 27th of June 2019 at SLIM Home where the participants were informed on the new changes in submitting their entries as well as being afforded an opportunity to clear any doubts over entry requirements.

Future Minds 2019

Teacher Training Programme – Kandy District

SLIM signs an MOU with

Abans PLC as their career partner

SLIM participated for the Future Minds exhibition 2019 conducted by the Nalanda Old boys Associations which was held from 14th – 16th June at BMICH Colombo and on 22 nd -23 rd June at KCC as the Silver Sponsor.

The initial training programme on School Business Clubs for around 100 teachers of selected schools from the Kandy District was conducted recently in Kandy. The project titled ‘Next Gen Marketer’ by SLIM in collaboration with the Department of education was initiated and spearheaded by Mr. Roshan Fernando Vice President Education SLIM.

The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing signed an MOU with Abans PLC on 13th June 2019 at the Abans Head Office premises in with the presence of Mr. Suranjith Swaris – President SLIM, Mr. Sanath Senanayake, CEO/ED - SLIM and Ms. Nanduni Dahanayaka, Manager – Education. Mr. Sriyan de Silva Wijeyratne, Group CEO Abans PLC, Ms. Saroshi Pestonjee, Director – Abans PLC, and Ms. Dulani Nissanka, Group Chief Human Resources Officer of Abans PLC also took part in the event representing Abans PLC for the signing. The MOU was signed between two parties with the intention of providing career opportunities at Abans for SLIM students.

25th 26th June respectively.

Driving Business through Service Marketing was delivered by Dileep Mudadeniya and Nilanga Wickramasinghe while the topic of Integrated Marketing Communication was delivered by Seninda Bandara, Sajith Weerasinghe and Prasanga Jayathunga.

Tree Planting Project organized by Kandy SLIM Students Association with SBS Kandy was successfully completed at Dunumadalawa forest on 16th June 2019 with 100++ plants.

NDSM Open day of SBS Kandy was held on 2nd of June 2019 which was graced by the Guest speaker, Mr. Aruna Buddhika, Managing Director – V&H Apparel.

A Training workshop on “Growing Business through Digital Marketing” which was conducted by Mr. Umair Wolid was held on 22nd June 2019 at Hotel Oak Ray Kandy.
