Piotr chased the thief, retrieved the parcel, and returned it to his colleague before going back to his round to complete his delivery.’ CUSTOMER AND YOU PROJECT TEAM, NORTHAMPTON ‘The team helped improve the enquiry office experience for customers in more than 400 offices across the country. It delivered a project which reduced complaints by 4,000 over the previous year, and reduced the time taken to find a parcel by 44%.’ THE PLODDING POSTIES, CATERHAM For walking a total 125 miles in aid of Alzheimer’s Society and Console in memory of his late brother Robin. Paul and his colleagues have raised more than £30,000 across three charity walks, and were invited to the House of Lords in recognition of their continued fundraising efforts.’ DEVON WRIGHT, BIRMINGHAM ‘Devon joined the Parcelforce team a year ago and has a great attitude to work. Without hesitation, she restrained the dog, locking it behind a nearby gate before calling for help. Gary worked exceptionally hard to deliver a smooth roll-out. Kalpesh is keen to help everyone, from frontline colleagues to senior managers, and he’s full of ideas to improve operations. On calling at a customer’s house, Mark found an unresponsive man, so he called 999 and was instructed to carry our CPR. Sadly the man died, but his family thanked Mark for his efforts.’ THE REVENUE PROTECTION PROCESS KAIZEN TEAM, NATIONWIDE ‘Developed and deployed the biggest change to surcharging in 10 years. The group of 10, from a number of revenue protection teams, worked collaboratively to reduce loss by £3 million per annum and significantly reduce customer complaints.’ BEVERLEY WILLIAMS, BANGOR ‘By organising a number of events to raise money for a host of charities, including a sponsored cycle from Walton Hospital in Bangor, Beverley raised more than £4,000. She also led 25 of her colleagues on a 22.5 mile ‘Pier-to-Pier’ walk from Bangor to Llandudno to support Blind Veterans UK.’ CRAIG WILLIAMS, DEESIDE ‘A breath of fresh air since he started as a driver and stepped into the administration supervisory role in May.
