Our success in integrating many different agency systems and networks is a key reason why we were chosen to integrate the data network connecting all 22 agencies of the DHS.

Our intelligence initiatives are essential in turning vast quantities of data into actionable information. And our infrastructure support solutions business provides mission-essential expertise in areas such as threat and vulnerability assessment, enterprise command and control, and sophisticated surveillance.

Securing Federal Infrastructures and Digital Assets: many U.S. government agencies rely on Raytheon to meet the difficult challenge of securing their networks against potentially harmful actions taken by trusted insiders and other threats to their assets and infrastructures. These solutions deliver the flexibility and intelligence government agencies need to accurately detect potential threats throughout the enterprise and deliver focused observation and investigation on specific targets that represent a real security risk.

The Commission's founders targeted Port Fourchon for growth and development of port facilities because of its ideal geographic location on the Gulf Coast. Fourchon's primary service market is domestic deepwater oil and gas exploration, drilling, and production in the Gulf of Mexico. Port Fourchon is comprised of 1700 developed acres that house state-of-the-art service facilities, and the port is in the final phase of its Northern Expansion project, which is more than doubling the port's size and will further accommodate the industry's growing needs.

This general aviation airport sits on 359 acres in Galliano, Louisiana, and is surrounded by 1,200 acres of commission-owned property slated for industrial development. Its close proximity to Fourchon makes it a great choice for both business and recreational travel to South Louisiana. The airport is under aggressive expansion, and the Commission has already spent about $26 million on airport improvements over the last ten years to make the airport more accessible to a variety of users from single-engine aircraft to twenty-passenger business jets.

Bay City, Texas chosen as location for US seamless pipe mill

“This announcement is only possible thanks to the hard work of state and local officials, as well as the area business community, which always plays a major role in decisions like this,” Texas Governor Rick Perry said. “The most profound statement about our favorable economic climate comes when companies like Tenaris make an investment of this size in our state. That says that not only is Texas the best place to grow your business now, but they’re confident that we’ll remain that way moving forward.”

“With this investment, we will strengthen our local production and service capabilities to address the growing demands of the energy industry,” Germán Curá, President, North America said. “We are grateful for the support we have had from The State of Texas, Matagorda County and Bay City.”

An analysis conducted on the economic impact of Tenaris in Matagorda County states the company will have a large direct and indirect influence on the area. The new plant will generate 600 direct manufacturing jobs and offer substantial economic impact in Matagorda County as well as in the surrounding areas.

“The company’s commitment to the environment and safety is a top priority,” Curá said. “The facility is being designed according to the most stringent environmental and safety standards, with the implementation of control technologies that will reduce our emissions footprint and exceed state and federal regulations.” The new facility is expected to begin operations in 2016.
