Encountering Beauty

Nature, a photographic exhibit by Babak and Anne Razavi is on

view through Monday, June 30, at the Medical Center’s Edward

Miner Library. The photographers describe the exhibit as a

collection that “attempts to capture nature—from vast skies to

miniature rain drops on a single leaf. The modern English word

nature ultimately derives from the Latin word natus, past parti-

ciple of nasci, meaning to be born. Every encounter with nature

can certainly instill a new birth or beginning for appreciating its

intricate composition.”

Babak Razavi is a trainee in the Medical Scientist Training

Program pursuing an M.D. and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineer-

ing. Anne Razavi previously worked as a medical physicist at the

Wilmot Cancer Center and Department of Radiation Oncology.
