A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR…
What a journey this show has been! Mary Poppins has always been one of
my favorite Disney movies as a child, and when choosing a show for our
Summer 2016 production, Mary Poppins was at the top of the list! I knew
we had a big production on our hands, but once again my production team
was up for the challenge along with all of our wonderful cast members.
From late night rehearsals to all day Saturday dance rehearsals, to helping
build sets and costumes - everyone has worked so hard and continues to
make this magical show come to life each time we perform it.
When I read the script to the stage show I fell in love with it and I was so
excited to get the opportunity to bring the show to Roswell. I want to thank
my entire production team and cast and crew for all their hard work and
dedication to making this show the magical production it is today! From
tap dancing chimney sweeps, a live orchestra, a magical flying nanny, and
much more, this production will leave you feeling
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! This has been our biggest production to
date and I could not be more proud of everyone involved! Lastly a big thank
you to all of you for your continue support of our shows and support of the
arts! I hope you enjoy Way Way Off-Broadway’s production of Disney’s
Mary Poppins!

Summer Souza (Director, Choreographer, Lighting Design) Mary Poppins marks
the fourth production she has directed for WWOB, including I Love You, You’re
Perfect…, Les Miserables, and Seussical. In addition to directing, Summer also
enjoys performing on stage with many acting credits under her belt. Summer and
her husband, Tony, founded Way Way Off-Broadway in 2014, and she currently
serves as the Board President and Artistic Director. Outside of theatre, Summer
has a regular role on the web-series Tailed and on the radio play Roswell B.C.
Summer would like to thank this amazing cast and crew, production team, and
her husband and kids for all the love and support!
Cydni Vandiver (Music Director) Cydni Vandiver would first like to thank the cast
and the rest of the production team for making this an amazing experience. She
was nervous taking on such a significant role within the production team, and the
cast made this new role incredibly fun. Cydni has been involved in other Way Way
Off-Broadway productions, most recently being seen in the role of Gertrude in
Seussical. She would like to thank her Mimi and Papa for putting up with the crazy
hours of practice and making sure she could eat and run (she’d starve without
you Mimi). She would especially like to thank Summer and Devon for the belief
that she could be successful in this role. Without Devon’s support, constant
reassurance, and help (during the day, night, and during voice lessons), she would
never have discovered her love for creating music behind the scenes.
Tony Souza (Technical Director, Set Design) Tony Souza is the Managing Director
and Board Secretary/Treasurer of WWOB, and has designed sets for all of
WWOB’s productions including Joseph and Seussical. In addition to his work

and create the technical elements of this show. He also wishes to thank his
beautiful wife, Summer, for her love and support!

Roswell shortly after. Besides creating costumes, Jan holds an office at the state
level in New Mexico Garden Clubs, Inc. and in Home Garden Club of Roswell. Jan
is also the Corresponding Secretary for the US Branch of Clan Macpherson.

Poppins. She has also been a part of three other musicals including Annie, Charlie
and the Chocolate Factory, and Tarzan. Melissa has also been part of several other
