The Annual Columbus Days Celebration will be held August 15-18 as we
once again “Discover the Music, the Food, the Fun.” The weekend will be
filled with music, barbeque, fun and games and much, much more.
The Columbus Barbeque Classic will return with five outstanding barbeque
vendors. The Columbus Barbeque Classic will be held downtown on Friday
evening & Saturday all day. We’ll see you under the tent for some great tast-
ing ribs!
On Saturday and Sunday, Frankfort Square will be filled with two stages of
live music, inflatable fun, plenty of food. The square will host great entertain-
ment all day both days including “The Rumbles” returning on Saturday night.
Rounding out the weekend celebration will be the Columbus Days Parade on
Sunday, August 18th at 3:00 p.m. The parade route begins at NPPD and re-
turns to 13th and 14th Street in downtown Columbus this year.
Invite your family and friends to spend the weekend in Columbus. There is
something for every age and we look forward to seeing you for Columbus
Days.

Chamber members are stepping up to keep the Independence Day fireworks in Columbus a
part of our area’s summer tradition. The display on July 3rd at the Ag Park, now known as “Red,
White, KaBoom!”, has been taken on by the Columbus Area Chamber. The response to the need
for financial support has been outstanding and the committee is approximately 80% of the way to the funds needed to
maintain the quality of the show we’ve enjoyed in the past few years.
A special thanks to the employees of CAMACO Columbus
and to Jackson Services for stepping up to offer a matching
challenge to kick off the fundraising.
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, July 3rd to
celebrate our country’s independence at the Ag Park for
“Red, White, KaBoom!”
