The Annual Columbus Days Celebration will be held August 15-18 as we

once again “Discover the Music, the Food, the Fun.” The weekend will be

filled with music, barbeque, fun and games and much, much more.

The Columbus Barbeque Classic will return with five outstanding barbeque

vendors. The Columbus Barbeque Classic will be held downtown on Friday

evening & Saturday all day. We’ll see you under the tent for some great tast-

ing ribs!

On Friday, June 7th join us at the Chamber from 9am-4pm & learn how to build your own rain garden to help make the most of rain when we do receive it and to help protect our streams, rivers & lakes. At the workshop you will receive a rain garden man-ual and additional materials. You will also gain hands-on experience by participating in an installation. The trainers will provide step-by-step instruction on creat-ing a rain garden —prepare to get your hands dirty! Presenters to include Kelly Feehan, UNL, Horticul-ture; Bobbi Holm, UNL, Stormwater; Steve Rodie, UNL, Landscape Architect; and Katie Pekarek, UNL Water Quality Extension Educator. Registration fee of $10 includes lunch.
