Eliminate pesky refrigerant transfers – You can say goodbye to moving the refrigerant from the tank to the charging cylinder to the system. Instead, you can charge directly into the system right from the tank. The tank is weighed before and after charging to give you the exact amount of refrigerant used. Take the guesswork out of charging – A digital electronic charging scale shows the progress as it’s happening, indicating when to stop the charge. In fact, you can even program in the target charging weight and the valve will close automatically. When You’re Counted On To Find A Leak, Count On The RLD15 Refrigerant Leak Detector From UEI! The RLD15 Refrigerant Leak Detector is designed and certified to meet new, tougher standards. Plus, it detects the latest refrigerants. Increases accuracy and reduces false alarms – Equipped with a heated sensor, this detector displays approximate leak sizes with the digital leak size indicator to help pinpoint leak sources. Dependable – even in tough environments – The true mechanical pump draws gas over the sensor faster, providing a quick response in contaminated or even windy environments. Is Technology A Four-Letter Word?Depending on the school system you were brought up in, the quick answer is an obvious “no.” However, many people I talk with cringe at the word as if those four little syllables together emit some type of low-dosage venom. And I get it…really. For many years, I was “The Anti-Texter” at all the family gatherings. I’d constantly give my nieces and nephews grief. Then we’d inevitably slide into the Facebook discussion, and Uncle Todd would say, “How lame is your life if you spend three hours a day on Facebook and you actually think that qualifies as dating?” When the kids would see me coming, I’d hear in excited whispers, “Here comes Dr. TechNo!”

But guess what? I’ve been on Facebook for a while. I’m also on LinkedIn, I visit YouTube, I Skype and I have actually become a fairly poor, but regular, texter. And the only reason I’ve gone down these paths is because I’ve found some type of value with them: Facebook to check on my kids, texting to talk to my kids, YouTube to make sure I’m not seeing my kids. Actually, this has helped me with customers, too, as I’ve had several “textversations” regarding quick information needs.

My point really isn’t about social-media- related technology, but technology in general.

Just like I did initially, it seems like many of our customers put up that “technology

retaining wall” just because they feel they’re protecting a

certain way

of life. Again, I get it. But (and this is a big but), all this technology stuff is NEVER going away, because there’s true value being realized in huge numbers.

For instance, take something small, like our new eWarehouse online ordering site. There’s HUGE value in this for all our customers whose business doesn’t fall neatly between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday – Friday. Sound like you? Since its launch, we’ve had 30 percent more customers using the site, and a 40 percent increase in online orders…clearly, some realize the value. Just over a week ago, a customer shared this unsolicited comment, “Of the big three in our area, your eWarehouse site is by far the best!” Heck, I was happy to hear that we were included in “the big three,” and of course thrilled with eWarehouse’s top billing.

So if you’re still hiding behind the e-retaining wall, take a small step forward by visiting our web site and sign up for eWarehouse. It will help you save time – the one commodity you can never get back. And perhaps it will keep your younger employees from labeling you the “Dr. TechNo” of your business.
