Reopening with a BANG!

JULY

Once upon a time, a crazy lady known as Lisa had the brilliant idea to open a do it yourself studio. She named it Cre8 and it resided in Millbury. This studio was like no other in the country. It was a place where creatives and non creatives alike, could come and pick a blank product, personalize it with their own design, print it themselves, using our state of the art equipment, and walk out the door with the finished product... generally within an hour. The studio space she chose was an old refurbished mill building that had high ceilings and beautiful exposed beams. She was lucky to find wonderful cre8tive people to help run the studio. Stephanie Audette, the organized one, became manager, Maegan Wackell, and Steph Berry each brought their own talents to the studio. Soon they were dubbed, Cre8tive Genius’. All the townspeople from far and near flocked to the new space and started cre8ting things they never thought possible. All was wonderful in this new Cre8tive Land... For about a week! It was very evident from early on.. that once you added people to the already cramped 1,200 square foot space, it became very crowded! Steph, Maegan and Steph were ready to kill Lisa every time an order came in and they needed to find room for the stock. Lisa, recognizing what a fool she had been for not taking more space to begin with, realized that if she valued her life, she had two options. Option 1. Never buy any inventory again, or Option 2. Find a larger studio. Lisa, having lived in Southborough for 10 years, wanted to find something closer to her old stomping grounds. So she searched far and near and found a wonderful space on the corner of Rt 9 and Otis St. in Westborough. (where French’s Music used to be) She was very excited about this new location. For one month, the cre8tive genius’ slaved night and day, they knocked down walls, put in new floors, and readied the new studio. Finally on June 15th they soft opened their new space. Along with the new space, comes a new machine... much to the chagrin of Lisa’s husband Steve. At the end of July “Neo” will join our machine family (”Sandy” the sandblaster; “Hottie” and “Steamy” the heat presses; “Eppy” the laser engraver; “Rolly” the giant printer/cutter; and the twins “Techie 1 & 2” the cutters) “Neo” is possibly one of the coolest printers ever. He’s about the size of a large table and instead of printing onto paper, he prints directly onto garments (even black shirts!!), canvas, leather, wood, skateboards, phone cases, golf balls, and who knows what else! There will be many a mad scientist night and a lot of experimenting!!! We can’t wait for “Neo” to arrive! We will be Grand Opening on August 3rd to show off our new larger Cre8tive home and Neo’s mad skills. We look forward to welcoming our old friends from the mill and making new MetroWest friends! So stop by, say “hi” and let’s see what we can cre8 together!

drawing class where you will learn all the basic techniques of shading, .

Stephanie Berry, our crafter extraordinar Genius, will lead this class. You will learn how to

cut glass, sandblast, and wire wrap in this class. All materials included. For ages 15 & up.

learn the basics of stained glass such as grinding, foiling and soldering.
