Adult Group Stroke and Conditioning

Mondays and Wednesdays | 6:30am - 7:30amAges 18 and upOffered Year Round

Swimming is a sport that does not come naturally to everyone. It's not simply strokes and kicks. It's also comfort in the water, confidence, and being in control; the ability to be yourself in the water, whether it's shallow or deep, pool, lake or ocean. Swimming is an excellent choice of exercise any time of the year and it's a low-impact sport that protects joints from damage. Swimming is an excellent cardiovascular workout that strengthens the lungs and promotes weight loss through the formation of lean muscle groups.

Join our Adult Stroke and Conditioning class and take advantage of these great benefits.

Introducing Member Eblin Macias

The Woodlands, TX

Eblin, an active member since 2009, began her weight-loss journey in January 2013 when she signed up for the 12- week REACH program with Fitness Advisor Trisha Martin. She weighed in at 205 lbs. with 38% body fat. At the end of 12 weeks, Eblin had lost 30 lbs. and 7% body fat. She continued her journey by joining Get Lean Boot Camp and GRIT™ sessions.

Eblin also signed up for the spring LOSE TO WIN competition and placed 2nd overall, having lost 20.2% of her total body weight. Her team came in 3rd place. Eblin also placed 1st in her age group in several of the LOSE TO WIN challenges.

At the beginning of June, Eblin weighed in at 156 lbs. with 28% body fat, which was her goal! In just five months, she lost 49 lbs. and 10% body fat.

Along her journey, Eblin learned the value of good nutrition and how to work out properly on her own. She has found new pleasure in dressing up and loves the new toned legs she has never had before. Eblin wants to lose another 20 lbs. and has signed up to do more training through the REACH program, boot camps with Trisha, and GRIT™ sessions.
