FIT FOR LIFE KICK OFFJuly 1 - December 31, 2015

Fit for Life is an annual FREE 6 month virtual incentive program, provided free to the community & designed to increase fitness levels & keep you motivated. Keep track of your daily fitness activities, which in turn earns you miles. Participants will receive incentive awards when they reach certain mileage goals. Miles will be awarded for all aerobic activity, strength training, sporting activities, skiing/snowboarding & stretching. Must be 18 years or older. FIRECRACKER FUN RUN July 3, 9 a.m. Patch Barracks

Start your Independence Day Celebration with this annual fun run. No pre-registration required. Registration will be available the day of the event from 8 - 8:50 a.m. The first 200 registrants will receive a free t-shirt. Call DSN 430-7136, CIV 0711-680-7136.

RUN TO REMEMBERJuly 11, Panzer Parade Field, 8:30 a.m. (Opening Ceremony) 9 a.m. (Half-Marathon) 9:10 a.m. (5k)

Remember those that have fallen in battle since 9/11. Registration is $15 Individual/$40 Family (now - July 5); Late $20/$50 (July 6 - 8 by 2 p.m.). Registration will be available at Patch and Panzer Fitness facilities and via phone at the Patch Fitness Center. Hosted in conjunction with the 1/10th. Skydiving: July 19, 9 a.m. $265* all, $115 SWPC. (*additional fee for patrons over 90KG/200lbs). For an additonal €60, you can jump with a handheld camera and for €90, you can get a video of your jump. No GoPros or personal cameras allowed on the jump. Price covers transportation, equipment, instruction session and one tandem jump.

Castle Ruin Hike & Spa: July 18, 9a.m. $50 Adults, $40 Youth (17 & under), $20 SWPC. Explore the castle ruins of Burg Hohenaurach! After a nice hike enjoy the Alb Thermen spa. Special treatments must be booked in advance at www.alb-therme.de.

Paintball: July 11 & 25, 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. $25 ID cardholders, $40 Non-ID cardholder guests. Price includes marker, mask rental, field fee and bag of paint (500 balls).

TEXAS HOLD `EM TOURNAMENT ELITE, July 10, 7:30 p.m.Try your hand at Texas Hold ‘Em! First, second and third place winners of the night will win Exchange gift cards. FAMILY FEUD GAME NIGHT, July 17, 6 p.m.Join us at our Family Feud Game Night. Enjoy free popcorn in a relaxing environment and get a chance to meet other gamers in your community. Register by July 10, free.

PERUVIAN COOKING CLASS, July 25, 6 p.m.Instructional cooking class on how to prepare and cook Peruvian-style chicken. Students will be able to dine on their creations. 8 students max. Register by July 10, $10 per person.

MOVIE NIGHT, July 31, 6 p.m.Join us at the Warrior Zone for our movie night. Free popcorn provided. A chance to sit back and unwind in a relaxing environment.

COMING NEXT MONTH: THAI COOKING CLASS, Aug 7, 6 p.m.Instructional cooking class with a Thai theme! Upon completion of the meal, students will be able to dine on their creations. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow students and make new friends! The class is FREE and you can meet some great people in the community and enjoy a delicious meal! WHAT IS BOSS?BOSS stands for Better Opportunities for Single Servicemembers. The BOSS program represents the voice of the Single Servicemember. BOSS not only represents single Servicemembers but also geographical bachelors and single parents. Active, guard and reserve Servicemembers are always welcomed, no matter what branch of service. BOSS also supports the Stuttgart Community as a whole, with trips, classes and community service. The Stuttgart BOSS Program is managed by the Garrison Command Sergeant Major, CSM Lynice D. Thorpe, a Family and MWR Advisor, Cory Hoffman, and the full-time BOSS President, SGT John Waters. BOSS meetings are held every FIRST and THIRD Wednesday of every month at 11:45 a.m. Meetings take place on Patch Barracks, at the Warrior Zone, basement of Bldg. 2505 (Swabian Special Events Center).
