ALEX BRYANT (Tessy Mahoney) returns to the CTC stage after previously appearing as Hodel in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. She has also performed multiple roles with the Kentucky Opera. Alex works at Unum. She would like to thank her husband for encouraging her to audition.

ZACHARY JAMES CAVAN (Mac Sam) has appeared in a number of roles on our stage, including FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Miss Annie Award), THE PRODUCERS (Miss Annie Award), ALMOST MAINE, and PSYCHO BEACH PARTY. He works at Unum and enjoys hiking, kayaking, Lookouts baseball, and being a cat dad.

MARIE DANCE (Popeye Jackson), a native of Chattanooga, is a graduate of Cen-ter for Creative Arts and Reinhardt University in Waleska, GA. She has appeared on the Theatre Centre stage dancing in ROMEO & JULIET (2006), singing and dancing in LEGALLY BLONDE (2013), and acting and singing in AVENUE Q (2019). Marie’s choreography debut was ONCE ON THIS ISLAND JR. (2019), followed by THE LION KING JR. (2019). She worked diligently as assistant stage manager

for NEWSIES (2018) and stage manager for GEM OF THE OCEAN (2019). Marie is now back on stage playing the role of Popeye Jackson and is beyond excited. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her in all her theatre adventures.

GRACIE GILBERT (Carnelle Scott) is thrilled to be in her second production at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre! She was last seen on the CTC stage as Raggedy Ann in the 2013 production of RAGGEDY ANN AND ANDY. She was most recent-ly seen as Sophie in MAMMA MIA at the Colonnade and recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Chattanooga State with her Associates of Fine Arts. In August she will be moving to Sarasota, FL, to start an internship at Florida

Studio Theatre. She proudly takes the stage in memory of her spunky grandmother, Tata, and thanks her family and friends for their love and support. She also thanks her hairdresser Larry in advance for the work he will do to make her blonde again after this show ends. :)

JESSE HEADRICK (Delmount Williams) was born and raised outside of Chatta-nooga, in Ringgold, GA, and has acted on his local church stage, but never for the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. Jesse loves singing, sports, hiking, gardening, reading, and writing and has recently tested the waters of CTC. Having served as stage manager for the Notorious Cast in our production of VINTAGE HITCH-COCK, he is delighted to return to the CTC stage, but this time, in a new role as

Delmount Williams in this production of THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST. He is excited to see where this character will take him and looks forward to exploring more shows and other acting and singing roles.

SARAH JADE SCHMIEDEKNECHT (Elain Rutledge) is making her CTC debut in THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST, having taken a long hiatus from the stage. She has appeared in GYPSY, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, and JOSEPH’S AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT with the Oak Ridge Playhouse and in BYE, BYE BIRDIE, ONCE UPON A MATTRESS and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS in high school. She works at Erlanger as a speech therapist and enjoys live music (especially her

husband’s) and exploring Chattanooga. She aspires to continue to work onstage and behind the scenes with the CTC. She extends her special thanks to her family and her sweet puppy, Marley.

R. SCOTT DUNLAP (Director & Production Designer/Director of Productions) is an alumnus of CTC’s Youth Theatre program, graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1996, and was a member of their 1997 Acting Company. He has been onstage in numerous CTC productions, including Miss Hannigan in Annie, Roger DeBris in The Producers, and the Baker in Into the Woods. In 2008, he

received the Best Actor award for Estrogon in Waiting for Godot at the Tennessee Theatre Asso-ciation Community Theatre Competition. He would later return to receive the 2012 Best Director and Best Production awards for The 39 Steps. His long history of directing CTC shows often includes designing his own productions. Some of his favorites include Almost Maine, The Best Man, Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson, Camelot, Dark of the Moon, Dividing the Estate, Hair, Love/Sick, Mr. & Mrs. M, Peter and the Starcatcher, Pig Farm, Ring Round the Moon, A Room with a View, The Importance of Being Earnest, Xanadu, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in 2005, 2009, and 2018.

JUSTIN HOLDERMAN (Technical Direction) has been a part of the theatre world for his whole life. Growing up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, he was part of many produc-tions, both on and off stage, at Players De Noc. When his family moved from Michigan to Spring Hill, TN, his passion for theatre remained, and he continued to volunteer at several local theatres. He attended UTC to pursue his theatre degree and began volun-teering at the CTC in the scene shop. After that he worked at the Cumberland County

Playhouse as a member of the scenic crew, working full time as a carpenter for their 14-show season. He and his wife recently returned to Chattanooga, and they have a dog who is lazy and loveable.

GARY MAY (Sound Engineer) became involved in the audio department at the CTC during the 2016 production of Miracle on 34th Street and has subsequently assisted nearly all productions and events at the theatre since. Outside of CTC shows, he remains busy doing freelance work with local sound engineers/theatres around Chattanooga and North Georgia.

ROBERT SODERSTROM (Stage Manager) Is new to the Chattanooga area and returns to the CTC after stage managing the Psycho Cast of VINTAGE HITCHCOCK. Hailing from Belle Fourche, South Dakota, Robert has been a part of community theater for over ten years. He has appeared in such plays as American Buffalo, 12 Angry Men, Bus Stop, The Importance of Being Earnest, Beauty and the Beast, and many others. He is also co-founder and board president of the Belle Fourche Area Community Theater. Robert

For the past seven years she has worked with the Summer Academy in various capacities from teaching assistant to site director. More recently, she has started teaching youth acting classes, working year-round with the Youth Theatre, and serving as a tech-

She has performed and worked on shows at UTC like
